I'll tell you what..... I think that Liakhovich "Hurt Ribs" and "Torn Shoulder" horse**** going in with Briggs in 2006 was bull****.... But that's the word on the street.....

You think Briggs wasn't? IMO if anyone was washed up it was Briggs, Brewster and Sergei just aren't that good.

I think that Briggs is dangerous even after 4 rounds. I base that on the Liakhovich fight. Yes, Liakhovich was tired but it was due, even only partly, on Briggs putting enough pressure for 12 rounds. Yes, it is only one recent fight. I will have to rewatch the Ibragimov fight but as far I remember Ibragimov chose not to take risk in the final rounds.

So, Briggs's power is there even in the championship rounds.

Yes, he does not deserve that title shot based on KO1ing midiocre fighters. Yet, he is willing to face Vitaliy and others are not.

Briggs is an ancient asthma sufferer who has been feasting on bums for years now. He is the worst heavyweight title challenger in history, and will reign as such until David Haye fights Audley "A-Hole" Harrison. Vitali Klitschko will again make a mockery of heavyweight boxing by crushing another D-level dud in Briggs.

Briggs and Harrison are hardly the worst challengers of all-time......:rofl

Louis and Patterson defended against some sorry-ass mothers back in the 1940s and 50s..........
    :deal

Foreman kayoing Roman in 1973 was horrid......:patsch

Steward has hinted that the brothers are actualy more open to fighting each other now. He also said it would be a helluva fight too because they're both very competitive and whip each others asses in sparring because neither wants to quit.

Briggs may not be the greatest thing since the invention of Pepperjack cheese, but he ain't a full-on bum for Christ sake........ Briggs is a solid contender here in 2010.... Perhaps # 7 or 8, but in the top-10 by most accounts....... Who else is there?

WBC. God knows how much it cost to get him on there.

He's fought something like 4 rounds in 4 years against absolute no marks, retired for a couple of years, and has tested postive for something (roids I think, but not 100% sure on that) pretty recently.

He's a 4 round fighter at best. He will try and spread that 4 rounds of fighting over 12 rounds by doing nothing for about 2 1/2 minutes of every round.

Briggs might be a good bloke, but he's at least 10 years past being half way relevant IMO.
Even the wbo win tells me that the WBO still didn't mean **** until Wlad won it (and only now because he's got it), and that Briggs got very lucky, and his opponent got very careless.

The Briggs that fought Lewis - and went down swinging but well beaten - might have some chance. This statue like version is going to get battered.

I hope he swings for the fences and decides somebody is going to be carried out in the first 2 or 3 rounds, but I can't see it.
