Who else could have finished Willard like Dempsey ?

    Max Baer would have done it though in a different way than Dempsey did. He would have beat Willard just like he beat Carnera which was just as savage as what Dempsey did to Willard :deal

    So presumably Vitally Klitschko destroyed him in very much the same way as Dempsey destroyed Willard?

    There was some weird **** about Willard in that fight. The first time he had the opportunity to clinch he instead spread his impressive wingspan and looked at the referee for help. It seems that there was something said about clinching pre-fight, perhaps?

    That's part of the reason why Dempsey killed Willard and I think that there are plenty of extremely good punchers who would have got Willard out of there earlier than Dempsey. That is my opinion.

    Willard was not fast but he had power. So did an old Foreman , Morrison with his shaky chin fought smart against an old George, if he comes into Jess he could be caught, and caught permanently. Right uppercut spells GOODNIGHT NURSE!
