He beat the legend that was Ali of course, but do you think he could have beaten any other greats or near greats, past or present?
Not really. His win over Ali and its arguable he beat Ali all 3 times just showed the weaknesses in Alis style esp his power or lack thereof. Any fighter with a good punch would smash chinny Kenny.
I could see him beating Holyfield that would be a very even match up IMO Holyfield isn't a big hitter so that would suit Norton style wise.
Norton arguably beat Ali three times and took the likes of Holmes and a motivated Young to the brink after his own prime. Seems like he's becoming underrated now.
Norton would be a tough out for anybody. And I never bought this whole thing that he couldn't take a punch. Ko'd by 3 of the hardest punchers ever, two of them when he was well past his best doesn't mean he had a glass jaw. Saw him take plenty of good shots against good fighters without going down.
Yet Floyd Patterson went down against most everyone, including an amateur in a laughable title defense, and he still beat lots of good fighters.
