We´ve discussed it on a german boxing board. Fact is, that there are not many fighters left that haven´t already lost to Wlad (or have been badly beaten by Vitali) and are willig to fight Wlad...

Exactly. People are whining about the Mormeck fight because the Klitschkos cleaned up all comers.

    Valuev - retired
    Helenius - said NO
    Arreola - said NO
    Povetkin - said NO
    Fury - said NO
Dimitrenko & Pulev fight each other
    Adamek - still recovering
    Mitchell - not ready yet

Yes, I heard they make a good buck from French tv on this fight.

I also though this fight would be staged in Paris like they planned at the beginning. A shame.

Should Wlad just stay inactive? I'm okay with the Mormeck fight at this point. There was nothing else on the table.

Maybe Wlad could have fought Dimitrenko?

If I remember correctly Wlad offered the fight to Fury, Povetkin, and Arreola but they all turned it down.

With those names out, Mormeck was the next best, at least in terms of drawing power, if not outright ability.

Duesseldorf is not that far from France. And it's not like there are alot of major French heavyweights so this is K2's chance to gain exposure there.

Boytsov? Did he also turn it down? Or what's up with him lately?

Arreola would have been pretty good.
