    Not to harp, but Buzzard Charles at age 33 in '54 was in his last year as a legit ringer of prime / serious contention..... He dipped badly soon after his 8th rd. KO loss to Marciano in the rematch...... That's no ****....

    Incidentally, an interesting aside: Stanley Ketchel's original surname was Kiecal, a Polish one. However, digging further into his family's history, you'll find Kiecal used to be Kiecallino. Italian. Fact. Sorry, JETSKI.

    Marciano was also affected by his 2 fights / wars with Charles in '54....... Marciano was not a ball of fire against either "Cockell or Moore" in '55........ Rocco was right in retiring in middle '56........ Trouble was looming had Marciano decided to carry onward...... He was smart.....

    Good call. Hardcore Marciano fans will admit stylistically this is bad fight for Marciano. Adamek is alot ****ing better than La Starza :lol: .. Adamek's footspeed and movement could compound the issue further.
