Who else feels '11 Adamek would be tuff as nails for '53 Marciano? I sure as hell do.

Considering what is going on at heavyweight these days and nights, Tom Adamek is pretty slick and agile..... Christ, a blind man can see that.... T.A. does more than stand still and trade leather with his foe......

Arreola would have been sweeping floors and holding a spit bucket in the 50's. Fat and size are not the same thing and this isn't a bodybuilding contest. Comparing Adamek favorably to top 50 heavyweights is ludicrous until accumulates more accolades. If he faces a top 50 all time heavyweight like wlad or vitali you will see what I'm talking about.

Grant has slowed at age 38, but the dude is still a solid 260 pounds of bulk and muscle...... No shame being rocked or staggered if Grant lands a bomb or two upside your head...... He has moderate skills with good power.....

Marciano, no doubt in my mind. Arreola is fat, slow and technically deficient. The only world champion he has faced blanked him. Marciano would blank him, Holyfield would have shut him out. Nearly every legit world champ in the modern era would shut out all 250 pounds of Arreola.

I see this as this. Times are different. Only a few fighters from back then can travel through time and fight guys of today's size wise... In another 50 years we'll be talking about some average heavy who never won any sort of title who weighs 30 lbs more than Adamek who could beat Adamek...

I also dont like these Adamek comparisons to ATGs. The man is still fighting and looking for a serious test. With 4 fights at HW he is too unproven and will be unproven until fighting the real challenge.

How much will you be surprised if Adamek fights a competetive fight against Vitali in March (if the fight is made)? And what if Adamek somehow wins?

    Please answer :good

Sorry he didn't look too comfortable lying on his ass against a gatekeeper like Barret or running a marathon against a feather fisted Valuev. He also doesn't look like he's comfortable since he barely manages 2 fights per year at HW against sub standard competition. Adamek has done more at HW in half the time. He's been in with much harder hitters (Arreola, Grant) and has proven his chin and boxing ability. He didn't have to run against Grant who's every bit as gigantic as Valuev, has a longer reach than Valuev and punches harder too.

True...... But..... Even 50 years from now some old bugger who's 120 years old and still breathing will swear to Allah and Mohamed that Marciano would've KO'd King Kong and Godzilla on the same day in his prime...... The legend of Marciano will never die.......

Be as it may for **** sake....... Adamek's opponents have been having a helluva time getting at him...... Adamek has been tagged and nailed here and there, but overall, his mobility has allowed him to avoid excessive punishment in the ring...... Thus, I see Tom Adamek as being ring smart, quick, mobile and fairly slick...... PLUS! Adamek is winning..... ALSO! He looks tight and fit at this 217 pounds he's been weighing as of late...... T.A. is a good guy with class and a good fighter who gaining ground in the division........

Thats true. I am Adamek fan and he isnt slick. He is just very mobile and use a lot of movement, but he is rather a hard-working craftsman in that area than an artist. Nothing slick, just good coordination and speed. When you look at Adamek he isnt great at anything (despite cheen), but he is good at everything. I think that this is why people often underestimate him when he fights bigger punchers or more skilled fighters. While these fighters are developed in strictly few areas very well, Adamek is developed on the lower level, but in many more areas. This is why he floored Cunningham - despite having slower hands than Cunningham, he had better timing, so he was able to land his "slow" punch before Cunningham was able to land his "fast" hand. Interesting? :smoke

True. I dont get this talk that he is a blown-up cruiser. CW was his natural weight, but he was a pretty big cruiser. In a day of the fight (in his last fight at CW) he weighed 207 pounds, so gaining 10 pounds of muscles while doing mostly stamina training cant be called bulking. He hasnt worked with weights on the gym for years, because he says that it makes him slower.

I think Tom Adamek is doing some amazing things at heavyweight right now... In truth, he should be down at a lean but still mean 200 pounds even, but he still looks good and is doing well at 217 pounds with the real big dude's of the ring... As for Adamek's competition, well, he has faced a few aging dude's and some lesser skilled guys over the last year, but his comp overall has been up to modest standards of 2010....

Only the K-brothers and Haye have any real chance at beating Tom Adamek....
