Who else goes 5-1-0 over Liston, Frazier & Foreman

Under the right circumstances its certainly possible.

 

Only names that even remotely come to mind are Lewis and Holmes. Personally i don't see Holyfield getting enough W's.

These ATG's have the best chance due to their longevity. However, I don't think it's possible. Someone like Tyson could conceivably do it back to back to back in succession.

 

Funny the people picking Louis And lewis..for start Louis would lose against them 3. Being generous he could beat frazier just maybe. Lewis would lose to forman and liston under this conditions

 

I would give Lewis a fair chance for sure.

Ali defeated these men in a 10 year period.

So let's assume it's the version of Lewis that stopped Ruddock against Liston in 1964. A dangerous fight for an untested Lewis but he was prepared to step up to world level. In that fight he brought a nice gameplan, utilizing footwork, a good jab and of course his power was outstanding. I would give this version of Lewis a fair chance against a past-prime, sluggish Sonny. He stops Sonny in the rematch under dubious circumstances.

Doesn't drop a match to Frazier. Terrible style for Joe, Lewis was more effective at controlling range than Foreman and his uppercuts are even more devastating.

Which leaves him fighting Foreman in 2002 when he fought Mike Tyson. Dangerous fight for sure. Lewis was a bit past it at that point, but I'll pick him to outbox George and stop him late, with Foreman having a good punchers chance.

So depending on circumstances, Lewis could go anywhere from 4-2, to 6-0 against them.

 

I agree that Holmes and Lewis would come the closest but in this timeframe and reality,Holmes would be 38 when he meets a prime Foreman. He would definitely lose.

 

Lewis was the first name that came to mind.

I could see Lewis rolling Frazier and Liston over easy-ish.
Foreman not so.

 

no one, and most of those fights he was past his peak. his peak was the mid to late sixties and he missed a lot of it because he was banned.

 

The answer is Foreman.

Young Foreman beats an old Liston twice. He has already showed himself capable of taking long layoffs and remaining viable, so he's favored to return and beat Frazier three times based on what actually happened in real life. Finally, an ageing Foreman uses his greater patience, durability, and knowledge of his own psychology to rope-a-dope himself in Zaire.
