Why won't RJJ return to the HBO commentating team? He was pretty good as an analyst.

The man is a POS and a fraud IMO, he held & defended the the UNRECOGNIZED WBOGUS belt. I'd love to see him brutally KTFO.

Or by not simply not agreeing to fight Joe when he knows he is as shot as hell? That he won't really have a chance.

It was humiliating, I hate seeing him being embarrassed like that actually. But it was his fault anyway. If he could have fought him before, when he was still in his prime..

:patschYou claimed Roy could've went after Slappy earlier, and totally disregarded the fact that Slappy wanted NO part of a prime RJJ.

Boxing, like most everything, is a mental game. Post Tarver/Johnson, Roy Jones never had any business getting in the ring with a killer competitor like Calzaghe in that sort of condition - whatever that chronic gutless condition is. I didn't mind seeing him getting knocked around, humiliated, and defeated like that. You gotta have heart and self belief to win in this game. Roy is better off with his bums. His fragile psyche can't handle real competition.

He won't return to commentating because he doesn't want to commit to the process as much as HBO wants him to. They wanted him to appear at all of the fighter meetings and Roy just wanted to show up to the fights.

Ah OK. But he could have said no to this fight, when he knew he is already very past his prime..

The point is, the beating he got from Calzaghe, however painful to see, he probably deserved it as well. He agreed to this whimsical, non-bearing fight, for what?

I felt bad watching this circus, but in a way, Jones deserved it. He asked for it, when he knew he would never be able to match Calzaghe at this point.

Jones had no Chin and no heart. He never beat a unified, undisputed, or linear champion in his whole career. Matter of fact his whole career was smoke and mirrors. :deal

I thought it was pretty damn sad how Jones could do nothing but cover up.
