Stop with your belligerence will you? There have been numerous examples of Mexican fighters, for example, who haven't held the title but want to hold it. Fighters, generally, do hold the belts in order of prestige, whether your Highness thinks it's sensible or not, and the WBO is bottom of that list. If Joe hadn't spent his whole career defending that particular strap would you be persisting with your theory? I doubt it.

at anytime in the last 4 rounds in the jones fight calzaghe could of stepped it up and embarressed him even more with a tko,so fair do`s to calzaghe for not ripping the legend to pieces.
p.s. calzaghe was past prime too remember.

Calzaghe's showboating was silly in the fight, but they were both talking through the fight. Taking the **** out of each other. For a boxing match it was quite good-natured. I think Jones and Calzaghe have a lot of time for each other.

I don't think he can knock down or even make Jones quit.

  6. Jones is one of my favourite fighters of all time. And i think he deserved it. It was fairly daft, good natured showboating imo. It is funny that showboating is so out of order when a white Brit does it. Jones doing it throughout his career was awesome though.

He did it to plenty in his career, this was righteous vengeance. Calzaghe deserves a ****ing Oscar for his masterful performance. It was truly incredible.

Easily one of my favorite fights of all time. Jones definitely deserved it, unfortunately he didn't learn as he recently said he thinks he'd take Joe in a rematch...

Jones is a Glass Jawed joke. He handpicked all of his fights, refused to fight the best available fighters, he cheated the fans with handpicked optional fights and pointless mandatory defenses instead of fighting better fighters.

Jones took the path of least resistance in his career he flat out refused to take any type of risk.

We all know damn well that Joe would've never attempted to showboat like that on a primed RJJ.

**** off you inane joke of a keyboard warrior. Toney wasn't a risk? Ruiz wasn't a risk? Every post you make further damages your credibility because you're shown to have blind hate with no ability for rational discussion.

I see your copy/paste method is still working. Very creative. Brilliant. A genius you are.

Now, can you find another boxing website? Thanks in advance.

What belligerence are you talking about ?

Is it belligerent to take a contrary view to yours ?

I responded to an earlier post of yours where you indicated that some of the belts were more prestigious than others.

I disagreed and explained my reasoning.

In fact, my first post to you said everything I wanted to say.

    No belligerence.

    I just see it differently.

I also see Joe's career in a different light than you do.

And, unlike Rico S, I rate RJJ as the best boxer of the last quarter century.

As for the thread topic, I responded to another poster on that subject in a different thread a few weeks ago:

As a fan of BOTH fighters, I get a little irked at the hate that's tossed at both by some on here.

    But belligerence....?

    What belligerence ????

Seriously. If that's your favorite or even close to your favorite fight of all time, then you can't have seen very many fights.
