Absolutely!! After all the times Jr. showed utter disrespect and contempt for his hand picked "opponents" he looked good eating a little crow. I remember the commentators whining that Calzaghe shouldn't be show boating. Jones should be thanking Calzaghe for giving him such a great payday after being ktfo by crack head Tarver and the barely better than a journeyman Glen Johnson.

Must have watched that fight ten times. It was a good punch and Froch was hurt but was nowhere near out of it. You could see his eyes were clear and he looked over at Rob McCracken in the corner who told him to take the count. There were only 30 seconds remaining in the round, so Taylor didn't have chance to capitalize. When he did try, Froch caught him coming in.

If Froch gets beaten you won't catch me making excuses for him. In boxing there are no excuses, if you don't train for 12 hard rounds you deserve what you get. When Taylor lost he didn't ***** and say "I gassed" he said Froch stuck with it and got the win. I got respect for Jermain, it's a shame his fans don't have the same honesty and good grace.

except Calzaghe done the showboating in previous fights, he just did it a little bit more with Jones because after the first round Jones tried to be the big man and stand there staring at JC as he walked back to his corner, so Joe showed him up

To be honest I think, if anything, that fight raised more questions about Froch's chin. Jermain Taylor is not exactly renowned for being a big puncher but Froch was floored quite heavily. This isn't a criticism of Froch, clearly he has the heart of a lion, but I'm not sold on his supposed iron jaw.

he did that against kessler? I honestly don't remember him doing the same kind of thing but it's been a while. The fact is that Joe was showboating, no doubt about it, but did Jones deserve it or did Joe just look like a *****. I go with the latter

The problem with Joe is that he looks like a total **** when he showboats. He did it against a few outclassed opponents here and it just looked terrible. Warren was screaming at him to get his hands up in one fight, can't remember which one now. Have you seen him try to do the bolo?:-(

Joe should learn to throw a proper punch without breaking his hands before doing an advanced techniques like the bolo punch. slow down super joe

Fair point. It was the first knockdown of his career though and JT did knock Pavlik down. It is expected at this level that a fighter can be knocked over. Calzghe was knocked over several times the ones whcih come to mind are Byron Mitchell, Hopkins and Jones.

I know RJJ is probably the fighter you despise the most but I'm curious to know at what point did you start disliking him and what made that happen ? Have you ever met him ?
