Antonio Margarito has probably got several tainted wins on his record that went unpunished. Who else do you think has got away with the same?
I remember Felix Trinidad being accused of Illegal hand wraps. It was exposed before his bout with Bernard Hopkins.
Remember when Chris Byrd and others were accusing Wlad K of having something in his gloves? Oh... those were his fists.
I don't think anyone has cheated like Margarito. He was 30 at 5'11 fighting guys that average about 5'8-5'9 at 147. Not only did he have a height and size advantage but he added to it by making his hands harder ( the thudding effect and coming on late). Which is what made him or what people thought of him as "special" in the 1st place. I mean think of a 5'11 welter that couldn't work off of a jab or any straight punching what so ever. At his age never developed anything to get better in the early rounds and absolutly no head movement. His cheating was his only gameplan!!
