I think Danny "If you beat a legend you become a legend" Green is a joke but Blow Job Flores is that itch behind your back that you cant seem to scratch and want to get rid of.

Hoping for a Danny win, but think it would be a one-sided schooling from Flores.

I hope Flores wins just for the fact that I'm currently living in Australia and have gotten into a few boxing convos with the locals and they seem to think Danny Green is unbeatable and a highly skilled pound for pound fighter. Makes me cringe!

Uh, I don't know if you realise that when Green said that after stopping RJJ, he was taking the **** out of Hopkins, who had said "If you beat a legend you become a legend" in an interview prior to the RJJ-Green fight.

Green wanted Hopkins after Jones, he was taunting him. Just a pity that Hopkins ran scared and chose to rematch Jones instead. He could have made a big payday if he'd had the balls to come down under to fight Green. Instead Hopkins hid behind his minimal knowledge of geography and claimed that he would never fight in "Europe" because they robbed you there, despite the fact that Green whooped RJJ's arse in the first round and it didn't go to the cards, and it was in Australia.

Green is no joke, he's a realistic bloke who knows his own limitations, but he's got a huge heart and hunger, and a good chin.

I'm looking forward to the Flores fight to see how Green goes against a natural CW, especially a young lion, as Flores has been made out to be on these boards.

You do realise that Danny never said "if u beat a legend you become a legend".
It was a commentator who said it and he was reffering to what B-hop said about the possibility of fighting Danny instead of rjj if Danny won.
As for the one sided schooling i couldnt see that happening but if your confident you should bet on BJ because hes paying almost 5-1 with the bookmakers..personally i'd rather put my money on a 3 legged wooden rocking horse but each to their own i guess:yep

Aussie boxing sucks more than all you ex cons did to each other in the slammer. Your boxers should actually grow a pair and fight some decent opposition abroad sometime. :hi:

i live in perth (green's hometown) and a lot of people here turned on green after the last debacle.

    the dime finally dropped....

i hope flores gives him an ass-whoopin to be honest. perth is so starved of major sporting events that green has been hitting the newspapers regularly since the jones 'win'.

he's been trying his best to get mundine back for a rematch and then when that died out to decided to fight a retired commentator....

EDIT : green even offered a public apology on the local news after his last outing - but only because he couldn't milk the fight for a few rounds.

hate to agree with him, mate - i'm in perth too - but he's right.

katsidis is one of the few aussie fighters doing the business - mundine and green would be perfect frank warren fighters.
