I've always said it was a poor idea on behalf of promoters not to create their own career box sets for their fighters. It goes to show how short-sighted they are moreso than anything else; creating quality boxed sets of their best fighters and not just 3 minute highlights creates recurring cash flow in the future for both the promoter and the fighter; it's a great way to still earn money from the sport for both parties once the big-fight paydays are over.

It's simply a matter of laziness; it's not that the legal and business issues couldn't be worked out, it's that they just don't feel like doing it and the fighters probably don't even realize what they could be missing out on.

Is this for the really recent fights, or fights from any time period? I've uploaded a bunch and always list who owns the copyrights...HBO made them take down Pacquiao-Cotto but not other recent fights like Pacquiao-Diaz, Cotto-Judah, Mosley-Margarito, etc..If it's a really recent HBO fight I don't bother.

I agree 100% on fighter career sets or even just big fights officially released on dvd. I've got a shitload of boxing dvrs, and I watch them over and over all the time, but dvrs just aren't the same as factory dvds. There seems to always be a little amount of fuzz or something, and believe me after trying 5 different websites i did finally find an amazing webiste for quality dvrs but it's still not the same as facotry dvds that you get at bestbuy etc. I'll gladly pay and replace my dvr sets for factory officially released dvds but look at how long boxing has been around and all you can get are the mike tyson knockout set and the Ali-Foreman,Ali-Frazier 3 and Ali-Liston or whatever. I love the USA Tuesday Night Fight series 1 and 2 collections. Too bad they can't put more out like that at least.
