Lewis fought plenty of big men and as great a collection of top drawer punchers as any heavyweight champion before or since. Bowe threw his belt in the trash can rather than face Lewis.
Lewis often started fast vs Big men. Perhaps he knew the longer the fight went, the greater the chance of him getting caught. With two early one punch KO losses, you'd almost suspect there should have been a third. Had Lewis fought Ike, or Bowe that could have been it. I agree, but when Lewis had a belt and Bowe did not, it was Lewis who avoided Bowe.
Lennox fought many of the biggest punchers ever and most couldn't do it and the ones who did were completely dominated by the focused Lennox. The guys who were 30 or 40lbs lighter wouldn't stand a chance
There was a tall black girl called Simone at my school, many years ago. pretty girl, long limbs, she was good at sport. Simone KOs Lennox
I think many could get to an unfocused Lewis. Focused and prepared Lewis would be tough for anyone to beat let alone stop.
I think Chris Rock could do it. Let me explain why .. If you see the Rahman KO, you can see Lewis gets caught while he's laughing at Rahman and coming off the ropes, big smile all over his face. I think Chris Rock's funnier than Hasim Rahman, not quite as powerful, but definitely more amusing even now well past his prime. I think that would set him up nicely to take Lewis out with a "lucky punch".
I honestly think Sonny Liston could do it. Not saying I'd make him the favorite over Lewis, but when I try to picture that fight in my head, I can totally see Liston landing with the 1-2 and KOing Lewis.
