At the end of the day, fighters deserve criticism when their resume sucks. I personally think Plant is a good fighter but he's fought one solid opponent and defended his belt against absolute nobodies. You will get criticized just like Crawford gets criticized for his disgraceful WW resume.
Only thing Benavidez paddles are the fast food employees who wont give him a happy meal. Fat boy cant stay away from the food.
I'm talking about criticism. Of course Crawford is rated high, he is a 3 division champion. However his resume at WW gets bashed all the time and rightfully so.
Rocky Fielding smashed Feigenbutz. Let that sink in. Edit: I was thinking of the similarly overlayed Tyron Zeuge.
This. Plant might very well be the most gifted fighter presently campaigning at 168lbs, but it would be premature to speculate any further until he fights Benavidez or another highly rated SMW.
168 is full of good but not great fighters that don't seem that interested in fighting each other. Thats why none of them get a lot of hype.
Do you agree with that? If we're basing it off skill then I don't see a reason why not, but going off résumé, that's disgraceful
