Watched the fight with my gf here in the UK. After the head butt fiasco and the hugging and kissing. As they were called in to come together Ortiz's body language was one of pure relaxation. so relaxed !!! as he went in to hug once again... I thought to myself your going to get clocked here son... then bam! it happened. Cheap shot or not did anyone else feel that at that point of the fight it felt like they should be resuming fighting? and was surprised by Ortiz relaxed approach? I myself could see the shot happening. I also have this question, I think because Mayweather is a safety first fighter this has heightened the disgust in the KO?....its been seen as a sly shot (which i agree it is) However If the KO was done by lets say Cotto, Zab Judah, Mayorga David Haye... these guys wouldn't have got half the stick.
The moment after Ortiz headbutted Floyd was the angriest I had ever seen in a fight. He was disgusted and offended that Ortiz even tried to play it off and apologize. I was afraid that Mayweather was going to clock him when Ortiz went in for the kiss.
Just wondering. Did you watch it live? What time is it over there fight nights? I expect really early.
yeah watched it live ... Im guessing first bell was around 5am as the guy above said... I was angry when that head butt went in... even my girl ...who was supporting Ortiz, stopped and said whoa that was bang out of order... (she can't stand mayweather lol) Mayweather had his screw face on and Ortiz didn't wise up .. :huh
I definitely saw it coming. Ortiz must not have done his homework on Junior. If that KO was done by anybody else, they would have got just as much stick as Junior is getting.
