Roy jones at his prime is one of the most impressive fighters I've ever seen. I wouldnt put my money on any LHW fighter vs prime roy jones, tbh, even with his glass jaw.

He didn't just look great against mediocre fighters you clown.

    Why do you even bother?

You need to take your medication for your Asperger's syndrome. You aren't following this very well. I didn't say Hill was a legitimate opponent. I said that DM beat him first when it actually mattered and it was a better version of Hill than Roy fought. Hill had been off for almost a year between the DM and Jones fights. Hill was the best Jones opponent between beating Toney in 1994 and facing Tarver in late 2003. That is a 9 year period where not only I but HBO and other boxing media have criticized Glass Jaw Roy for taking absolutely ridiculous optional fights that were meaningless. Do you understand this? Take a deep breath and read it a few times and when you fully understand what I was saying reply. Jones went damn near 10 years without a meaningful win. If you remember it was this time when Ring Magazine moved him down in the P4P ratings because his opposition was so awful.

If he'd have gotten the opportunity.

How would he have coped with Roy's skills and speed?

In the 2nd half of the fight with Andre, Andre had him looking devoid of ideas.

andre was in a problematic situation himself in that fight, that was only solved by the judges.

It would be for the best if you stopped reading and replying altogether.

You are so out of your depth.

So you admit you were wrong about the "Roycott"?

So a glass jawed fighter who once fought as a JMW, had a nothing win over a top 10, 235 pound HW?

    Haha!

    Yeah.

    I'm following it fine.

    You say Roy was overrated.

You say he didn't fight anybody of note for 10 years.

You also claim he ducked Dariusz, and you big Dariusz up to be this great fighter. Yet Dariusz didn't beat anybody better than who Roy beat. When I asked you who exactly Dariusz had beaten, all you could mention was Hill. But if he wasn't a legitimate opponent for Roy, you can't claim he was a legitimate opponent for Dariusz. After that, who else did Dariusz beat?

I'm calling you out on your biased double standards. You ridicule Roy for not fighting a guy in Dariusz, who's best wins were on par with the guys who Roy beat at LHW, who you don't rate. You're pathetic.

What you've written above is just a pathetic attempt to try and dig yourself out of a hole.

How can wins over the likes of Griffin and Reggie Johnson etc, have been meaningless??

That's complete BS, but if it was true, it would mean that Dariusz's entire resume was also meaningless. So again, if that's the case, why do you criticise Roy so much for not fighting a guy who never even had a single noteworthy win?

Sergey would only have had a punchers chance against a peak version of Roy.

Andre highlighted the fact that he isn't able to just take anybody out.

Was Roy suspected/accused of having chin issues prior to his KO defeats? (like some say about Wilder or Joshua?)
As an amateur did he suffer any/many knockdowns/knockouts?

The reason I ask is because often you hear boxing insiders comment on how fighters lose their chin (for lack of a better term) after even a single heavy KO or yo-yoing between weight divisions, I am curious if Roy always had this supposed achilles heel or if it developed later in his career post prime?

Not that it would change my opinion of his H2H chances drastically in any case as finding his chin to expose this apparent flaw was easier said than done given his superman physical abilities.

I doubt he schools the top 6 currently.

Kov - would wear him down with his jab, before knocking him out cold.
Ward - would work his way inside and smother Jones up.
Adonis - 50/50 fight with whoever lands first. At LHW I'd slightly favour Adonis because I think he's faster at this weight.
Beterbiev - I think Jones will have success vs Artur, before the inevitable happens and he lands one glancing shot on Jones.
    Gvozdyk - see Kov
    Smith Jr - 50/50 match-up as well.

I think all the above would beat all of Roy's opponents at LHW. Tarver, Griffin Johnson ain't better than any of those imo.

-You have accepted he never even ran through his own division, fine. That's good & proper that you acknowledge that.

-Now i want you to tell me who the top 3 'non Roy' LHW's were in Roy's era? Just 3 names.. I know who i think were.

One we have established this also you can then tell me:

-Who Roy beat at 175 comparable style-wise to the top boys in today's division? Ward, Kovalev, Adonis etc..??

After we have established the key factors listed here we can then move forward & you can give me:

-The the 3 highest KO ratio punchers Roy fought too???

    ;)
