    No he didn't.

He refused to go to Germany.

    There's a huge difference there.

Kovalev and Beterbiev would have killed him?

    Just like that?

Funny how Kovalev couldn't kill Andre.

Roy's speed would have presented those guys with huge difficulty. Sure, they possess the power needed to have taken him out. But would they have had the opportunity?

I'd also say I'd never put any $$$ on rjj against any elite lhw, never ever ever. Not even against the level right below elite. And that would be very smart because those bets both ways have way too much risk

If you want me to jump through hoops, the least you can do is to be willing to have an actual debate, instead of just looking for an argument.

I have told you on several occasions why I'd have favoured Roy, despite the fact that he didn't fight guys who exactly replicated the style of the top LHW's of today.

I have given you my opinions, and I've given you an*logies to consider.

I have told you that choosing Roy, would be akin to predicting that Joe Calzaghe would have beaten the likes of Sven Ottke. I have also told you that many people here think that Joe was the better SMW of the 2, despite the fact that they didn't face each other. It's very similar to how many people think that Roy was a better LHW than Dariusz M, despite them not fighting.

After giving you my reasons, all I got from the above, was:

"I couldn't be arsed to read all that"

    "I never mentioned Calzaghe"

That's what you pathetically wrote, whilst constantly asking me to back up a quote, that I never even made.

    You're a very poor poster.

Now we both know what you're hoping for here.

You're trying to set an obvious trap, where you can just say: "Well, if Roy didn't beat guys who were like Kov, Ward and Adonis etc, then how could he have been favoured over them?"

    Everyone can see that.

Regarding the top LHW's of Roy's era, I have already told you that they were interchangeable, and it depends at who's rankings you looked at, and a what specific point in time.

So why don't you tell me who you think they were, and then we'll proceed from there.

If you're thinking of replying back just with: "You haven't answered my questions" then do us both a favour, and don't even bother.

    Move on?

    You're here aren't you?

    Myth?

    There is no myth.

Go and watch his old fights.

Can't remember a fighter in recent times that was exposed as bad as Glass Jaw Roy was. When you look at his resume on a granular level it is laughable considering the opponents that were available for him to fight yet not a single one got made. That is too much to be a coincidence or 'circumstances'. The lone common denominator was Jones who was reluctant to make big fights despite having the backing of HBO at the time who had by far the most pull and biggest budget of any network that showed Boxing. The absence of power punchers on his resume is very eye opening. For such an 'unbeatable' fighter he sure did have some bizarre reasoning for not fighting the biggest fights at Middleweight, Super Middleweight, and Light Heavyweight. At Heavyweight he was exposed as cherry picking the worst belt holder at the time so it isn't even worth discussing. It would have been the equivalent of Mike Spinks fighting Berbick or Witherspoon instead of Holmes.

So why do have an issue with the people who are saying that they'd have favoured Roy over him?

I love Artur. I can't wait to see him again. I'm glad he's split from his promotional company. But as great as he looks, he hasn't done anything yet.

Roy's prime lasted nearly a decade, across 5 weight classes. Until we've seen an awful lot more, Roy is rightfully going to be favoured. You don't need to ask: "But who did Roy fight that was the same as Artur?"

Roy proved that he was the best LHW from 96-03.

He has a better LHW resume than Dariusz.

He had better results against common opponents.

Nunn wasn't considered the best LHW, he was faded then, and his ranking was interchangeable.

Roy fought Tarver at 35, after 50 fights, after burning muscle in order to make weight, coming back from HW. Roy won the first fight fare and square, despite the fact that he was absolutely exhausted in the last 3rd of the fight.

In the rematch, Tarver caught him with a beautiful shot. There are no excuses. Tarver proved that he was the better guy over a 3 fight series. I've no issue with that at all. But a blind man could see that the versions of Roy who fought the likes of Tarver and Johnson etc, weren't the same versions who'd beaten Hill and Reggie Johnson etc. He'd slowed down dramatically by that point. He still had the hand speed, but his reflexes had diminished, and his legs/footwork weren't the same. If you can't appreciate that, then you're ignorant.

Considering that Roy beat Tarver when he was exhausted at the end of 03, you would have had to have given him a fair chance of beating Tarver in 00, when he was much fresher.

The same goes for Johnson. Who here would seriously have favoured Johnson to have beaten Roy, pre-Ruiz?

You also think that Ali was too small to have competed in today's HW division.

    Your opinions are worthless.

Didn't you claim I'd got a mental illness?

You've now wrote the same thing out FOUR TIMES.

Are you going to list the guys he ducked, along with a bit of info to back it up?

Are you going to list the guys who were available?

    I'm waiting.

    Bring it on.

    Ha!

Until I click on it and see Roy's c*ck.

    Ha!

The best photo you uploaded was that time when he was stroking his rooster.
