Who else thinks a prime RJJ beats the whole LHW division

Honestly... I don't pick anyone in existence from 168-175 to beat a prime Roy Jones from 94 to 00 in a boxing match.

Those saying glass jaw this, roids that blah blah blah clearly don't know dog **** about boxing. If Roy isn't the most talented fighter you've ever seen, then you're either a hater, new to the sport or simply don't know what you're talking about. I can't envision Roy losing to someone like Kova or Ward, let alone a slow caveman like Beter.

 

I would argue someone saying nobody in history could beat a 168-175 pound Jones is new to the sport and simply is a clueless muppet. I can't imagine Roy's Glass Jaw holding up against guys like Foster, Spinks, Moore, Patterson, etc and we all saw how the guy literally has no Plan B in a fight when things weren't going his way. Roy's inability to deal with adversity is even more concerning than his putrid Glass Jaw.

 

There's about a dozen top fights that could have happened but didn't. Like Rico said there are simply too many big fights that didn't happen for them all to be "not Jones fault".

Jones could have had one of the all time great careers after an amazing start beating Hopkins and Toney, but unfortunately wasted most of it fighting cab drivers.

He only has himself to blame.

 

Hill and Tarver would be easily beaten by Sergey k. and Andre Ward, Jones would have ducked both of them!

 

It's ok buddy, you're most likely a Roy hater, it's cool. Post me a clip of Roy Jones getting wobbled or seriously hurt from 94-00. If you can find me that then I'll accept your outlandish claims of Jones having a glass jaw.

I said WOBBLED or SERIOUSLY hurt. Roy Jones toyed with Del Valle literally the entire fight, the man was so extremely confident and talented that he stood in front of Valle the entire fight and got caught with a one two in which Roy Jones immediately got up, ate more hard shots, then proceeded to land a thunderous left hand to end the round.

A prime Roy Jones from 94-00 is simply too much for any fighter in existence 175 and below. Imagine a thunderous right landing on Foster's or Kova's glass jaw, I cringe at the thought. Even a bloated, past prime Jones Jr ate shots from a Heavyweight, the same shots that put Evander Holyfield on the canvas 2 years before Jones made history. 8)

 

He was wobbled in the first Griffin fight. He was absolutely hurt by Del Valle who was not a puncher. Ruiz? LOL. How old were you in 1994?

LOL You're reaching extremely hard now, Jones legs were just fine and he proceeded to land bombs after that left to the temple. If this were post HW Jones, a touch to the temple would of had him folded like a lawn chair.... and yes Ruiz, not sure why that's funny. It's extremely amazing that a former MW champ went on to win a HW belt, it hasn't been done in over 100 years before Jones for a reason. You can claim Ruiz was a garbage fighter all you want, he's still a career HW, beat HW's to get his title and outweighed Jones almost 30 pounds.

Jones is the greatest fighter of the 00's for a reason. The man was like a God in the ring in his prime.

He took alot of punches in Tarver 1 Ruiz and Griffin 1 that would have knocked him out cold a few years later. Emanuel Steward and Dr. Margaret Goodman already stated that Roy Jones took a concussion that he didnt recover from and thats what happened to his punch resistance who are all these experts that claim to know better?

 

Prime Roy Jones Jr. was something special. I would favor him over anyone in the 175 as well, despite how stacked the division is. Out of the current crop of LHWs I think Kovalev would have the best chance to beat him stylistically. Ward would get slaughtered, terrible match up for him, same goes for Beterbiev.

 

List them, and we can go through them.
