It was indeed the GREATEST FKN THREAD OF ALL TIMES!!!
Blizzy was ridiculed for months and in every other thread if he attacked another poster we would link the "My Mother shared a story about meeting Ali" and the whole forum would p-I-SS on Blizzy :pipiover and over until he would crawl away or log off....I miss the good ole days

You can call me names all you like but you have ducked nearly every question I have asked. You're middle aged aren't you. Act like it. Is it my fault you daren't list RJJ's era top 5 LHW's in order of best to worst? I have shut you down here & you know it. Long winded responses to a basic question won't help..

    A few observations:

-It would certainly be interesting seeing Jones deal with Ward's clinching, holding, mauling, headbutting, grabbing, etc tactics. We have seen what happens to Jones when he is taken out of his comfort level and it isn't pretty. He crumbled and was savagely KOed each time or lost wide on the scorecards (3rd Tarver fight)

-I have a Ring Magazine at home from the late 1990's where a sparring partner of Jones was interviewed (it was a big puff piece about Jones) and he said they were not allowed to punch Jones in the head during sparring I always found that strange.

-The 'circumstances' of a Nunn fight not happening were because Jones 'offered' Nunn a 90-10 purse split from which Seth Abraham said they could not even draw up a deal so one sided to show on HBO.

-Jones own father said his son wouldn't fight certain opponents (one in particular) because they "punched too hard" this again is a bizarre thing for someone to say about someone who is a Boxer. It isn't like he was a Golfer or Tennis player.

-Jones was exposed as having no plan B in a fight and harboring one of the most brittle Chins we have seen in Decades for a 'P4P' level fighter. I have to laugh at what the teenagers on here who weren't even in diapers yet when Jones was in his 'Prime' calling him 'unbeatable' from 160-175 when the guy was the most risk averse fighter of his era. It would be a crime to witness to what guys like Hagler, Spinks, Foster, etc. would do to that Glass Jaw.

I didn't see it at the time either but I remember it very well because I used to have a couple of greatest ever KO type videos on VHS back then and that KO was one of the ones on them. I used to love watching those vids.

Against Chris Pyatt? I remember watching quite a few of Pyatt's fights back then. They used to show them on ITV and I probably saw about half a dozen of them in total. I can't remember if his fight against Kalambay was one of them I saw but there's a fairly high chance it was though. Pyatt was a good fighter.

Johnson weighed 171 on the scales and 175 in the ring against Roy, at LHW. I know Roy was often giving up weight at 175 but Johnson would've been better suited to SMW. Plenty of MWs today come in at that weight or even more.

I heard some say they were controversial and others say the result was fare, especially the first one. I think I've only seen one of them and it was a long time ago and it wasn't in the greatest quality IIRC.

    It plays a huge part.

I think he could've gone 3-0 against those guys, or 2-1, 1-2, or 0-3. But I'd bet my shoes that if he did lose every one of them, whether it be 1, 2, or 3 loses, they would come via brutal highlight reel KO.

They all possessed the power to lay him out cold like a dead fish but likewise he possessed the power to take them out too. I think he'd take a KO loss if he fought all three of them, a brutal highlight reel spreadeagled out cold on the canvas savage KO loss lol

I've not read through this thread but imagine Roy has been given hypothetical total domination wins over the whole division which TBF is exactly what he would have ended up with should the current crop have fought in his era.

The drugs accusations are a bit unfair though as I'd bet that almost as many fighters are juicing now as we're in the 90s.

I am looking at things logically. That's how Serge do. I'm not buying your pro Roy sperm drinking straight from the source spin or excuses, mate. The man love stops right here, OK? You can spank the purple dolphin on your own regarding all that gay weirdness thank you very much.

Collins has been calling Roy out and chasing his ass for over two decades and Rooster Roy has been clucking 'n' ducking and is still to this day ducking him. This cannot be even be disputed let alone proven false or untrue.

Do you have any idea how many times Collins called him out, whether it be in interviews in numerous boxing periodicals, the back pages of newspapers, during post-fight interviews, or mano e mano to his face both in the UK or after he'd flown thousands of miles and gatecrashed Roy's post-fight interviews with the explicit intention of forcing him into a corner so he couldn't wriggle out of ducking him anymore.

How many times does someone have to question his manhood and publicly humiliate him on national TV or to his face before he will man up and agree to fight them?

There literally isn't anything more Collins could have done to try and force the fight, but Rooster Roy just kept ducking 'n' clucking him no matter what he did or how much he goaded and humiliated him.

You'd crucify Collins for ducking Roy if the roles were reversed, or indeed any other fighter if they did the same to Roy.

When Roy ducks a fighter there's always an excuse or mitigating circumstance but when others do it's a blatant duck because they fear him or really don't want the fight.

And when Roy prices himself out - and nobody demanded more obscene, ridiculous and totally unrealistic amounts of cash than Roy did - he really means yes, but when his rivals or potential opponents do it it's a shameless duck by them.

"Hopkins asking for 10 million is the best way to say no without saying no, you dig?' Jones concluded. "But nobody will write that. Why do Roy got to be the one to give everybody a chance and help them make money?"

    --Roy Jones Jr.

''If you come to the champ and call him out man to man, how can you turn him down and call yourself a real champ if you don't accept their challenge?''

    --Roy Jones Jr.

Hmmm.. Well that's exactly what Irish Stevie Collins did Roy and you turned him down. How could you call yourself a real champ after doing that, Roy? That man flew all the way over to your backyard Pensacola and crashed your post-fight interview and called you out right to your face and questioned your manhood in front all your own people and your refused to even acknowledge his presence let alone accept his challenge.

Collins fought a prime Mike McCallum when he was just 16-0, that was nestled in between McCallum's fights with Herol Graham and his mauling of Michael Watson. He gave McCallum a real hard fight.

When Collins was 21-1 he fought a prime Reggie Johnson in Reggie's country. Reggie had just lost a controversial SD decision to James Toney the previous year.

Collins fought Kalambay in his backyard Italy. Earlier on that year Kalambay had beaten Herol Graham and the year before that lost a razor-close controversial SD to McCallum.

Collins also fought Pyatt in Pyatt's county.

Benn x 2 in his country

    and Eubank x 2

Roy wanted no part of Collins back then and he still doesn't to this day.

    I rest my case
