Well, let's take a closer look there.


Starting with the "11".

Golota - ancient, shot to bits.
Estrada - C+ level
Arreola - best victory at the weight, squeaked by via majority decision, hurt many times, Arreola wearing a fat-suit at the 4th heaviest weight of his career.
Grant - ancient, shot to bits. Stinker. Adamek hurt late.
Maddalone - old, C- level to begin with.
McBride - ancient, shot to bits, stopped half a dozen times - Adamek didn't even drop him over twelve.
Aguilera - C+ level, clear wide decision for Adamek but took serious effort.
Chambers - robbery, even with Chambers boxing one-handed.
Walker - dropped early, though Walker is dangerous.
Cunningham II - robbery
Guinn - useless as ever, perhaps more than in his epic bust prime in the previous decade.

...and then getting dominated twice, by a forty-year old Vitali (who rocked him with a range-finding jab) and relatively inexperienced Czae Glazkov who in all honesty was given more trouble by Scott.

Having said all that, I was a big fan of Adamek in his 175lb and 200lb days and based on his work at light heavy and cruiser actually think he deserves consideration for the Hall of Fame.

All that bull crap at HW, though? Worthless campaign, waste of time. He could have been unifying CW instead. He got what he wanted, bags of money, trading on all the respect he built up before that ill-advised move.

 

Adamek has become a gatekeeper at HW.

He never got KTFO so who knows . Vitaly beat him up but he never hit the canvas. Some good ideas here like Cunningham 3. USS deserves it after beating Monsour. Two fighters with major heart. I don't think Chambers was a robbery . Adamek won that fight. Adamek vs Szpilka would be epic in my opinion. Who wouldn't want to see that? Clearly Wladimer is out of reach. Wilder was mentioned on this thread. That intrigues me. An over the hill warrior who was never KTFO against a dude who has a perfect knockout record. Arreola again would be interesting. If he wants to, there is money to be made and maybe who knows, he has beaten expectations for years. You have to admit this forum had him getting beat a lot. It didn't happen. Glazkov may not be A level but he is certainly B level and is still learning. Good thread.

...and Wawrzyk for a cherry on top and to sprinkle a "hungry young lion" in the mix of grey-manes on the domestic scene clean-out tour. (was actually talked about rather seriously at one point, and should pose little worry now that we have seen what happens when the kid steps up)

 

Szpilka and Wawrzyk are very winnable fights for Adamek even at this stage of his career... Either would make for a good swansong fight in Poland.

I think Pin is a bit more dangerous than Weeblezyk, though, and could more potentially backfire in a very embarrassing way on Adamek.

Szpilka, though flawed, has major pop and offensive skill - both in spades compared with the other top five Pole in his twenties.

 

Agreed... Szpilka is definitely the more dangerous of the two, that makes the fight a lot more interesting... Also he's much marketable... But Adamek could sell out a stadium fighting just about anyone, he's a national hero over there.

 

A thing I googled said he's worth five million, not too shabby. He's still got some fights in him I think where he could be paid well and not fight against the top guys. An all poland fight with Zimmoch could do well in Poland (obviously) or someplace like Chicago. Zimmoch has to stop fighting 8 rounders at some point, right?
