I agree Flea. This is not a wise move by Fwank. Burns doesn't have the ring generlship or defence to last 8 rounds with Katsidis, Ricky has a solid chin and a decent jab but that isn't enough to beat Kats.

    War Katsidis!

I think he has the tools to win, but I don't think he's tasted power like that Kats left hook.

If that lands, Burns is ****ed.

What tools does he have to win and how does he go about implementing them? I'm finding it hard to fathom :good

You'd still have to take a train from Luton, which would take an hour and then the tube journey to the Wembley Arena could take 40 minutes. It's not that difficult to go from Euston - go to King's Cross and then the Metropolitan line up to Wembley Park I think.

Really like Katsidis, I think he's got this in the bag. Burns was getting buzzed by an average, weight-drained Martinez throughout the fight, although it was a great performance from Burns. I'm not sure Burns will be have the strength to keep Kats off him or the chin to take his punches during the fight. I hope it's a good fight but wouldn't be surprised if it was the Mitchell fight all over again.

Its a very hard fight, very.

I chatted with Burns bout Kats when i was down.........and as i said before he wants it (big fights), he wants big names and perhaps he is frustrated as to how his defences went (opposition) though i didnt ask such.....i was still gushing at the thought of Kats :love :love :love

We discussed Kats 1 dimensional come forward style, his overly wild winging single right hands, his mental head movement when out of range and yes........i was probably still gushing ma love for Kats.

Anyways, when i say discussed, i mean.....i shouted stuff at him, he shouted stuff at me.

With Ricky, its easy to look at his movement in the Martinez fight and the chin high etc but that was a while ago (no one has mentioned how Ricky sits/leans on the ropes either.......maybe i am seeing things) and i can only go by his defences and some recent sparring.

People are mentioning his weight and the expected size difference, there will be one..........though not to the extent people are suggesting.

Anyways, i will stop ma rambling.........

Its a BIG ask and he knows Kats aint done either.

    He wants it........

I gotta say i really fancy kats to do a job in this one but Ill give credit to Ricky for taking the fight and wish him luck. i skipped two of his last three fights due to poor opponents and only watched cook cause it was on the Mitchell Murray card and have been hoping he would fight a world level boxer since he beat Martinez. he is now so I give him his props.

It's a big ask for Ricky. Hopefully he has a bit more dig about him with the extra few pounds and can box Kats head off. Burns is also at his peak, I can see him being stronger than ever ...

Can't understand why he avoided Broner for a fight where he's less likely to win and the rewards are lower though. If Fwank was cashing out on him he should have taken HBO's money.

Thought the same myself, just sitting back & enjoying the same predictions of imminent doom as I read back then, I hope they keep coming cos its only going to make this thread funnier to bring back when Ricky upsets the odds:D

Its a toughie alright, but in Admiral Nelson we trust to steer the good ship Rickster through troubled waters again:good

Yep, I would have favoured him to beat Broner. As I say, another mad aspect of it....maybe BoxNation would struggle to get the rights to that fight or summat?!

Or want to cash out at a UK-friendly time :deal
