Who Else Thinks Burns Vs Katsidis Is Mental Matchmaking???

Ricky needs to pull out the best, most disciplined performance of his career. The win over Martinez is no indication that Ricky can beat Michael. He’ll have to deal with a guy who jabs his way in, can box a bit too, steps around his opponent to get angles, and has a great left hook.

Ricky, for all his good qualities, isn’t elusive and isn’t good at keeping distance. I expect we’ll see Ricky on his arse early on, ala Martinez, but Katsidis won’t let up at all, and he’ll never resort to just winging the occasional wild shot for the KO.

This is a massive task. Contrary to what Billy has said, we have seen the best of Burns and I don’t think it’ll be good enough to beat the Aussie.

 

Just my personal opinion but I have issues with people who pretend to have achieved something.

I'm guessing warran is hoping katsidis is a bit shot and also struggles to get to down to lightweight, whatever happens you can guarantee burns vs mitchell next.

Yes it is mental, one of two things is happening here.

A) Fish Eyes is cashing out on burns, but even so this makes no sense as surely he could throw burns to a bigger wolf?

He is also setting up a mitchell/katsidis rematch, I don't see the point of this as all that would happen is mitchell would get blown to bits again.

B)Fish eyes is dillusional when it comes to Katsidis, thinks he is trash and only won because Mitchell was on weed, boozed up, uninterested, unlucky or whatever other excuses he had.

Either way, stupid move and all that will happen is Katsidis will smash the pair of them and send them back to the domestic level.

Not true he made the weight 1st time, a full pound under. Didn't look drained or anything, and he was only 144 in the ring.

 

I don't see Burns having enough snap in his shots to stop Katsidis relentless pressure.

I think he can live with him physically but for me punch power will be the deciding factor.

To beat Katsidis you have to be able to have the power to command his respect. Otherwise he will just walk through you.
