So what? Justr because he's a bigger name are we supposed to treat him like he's the second coming and treat Clottey as if he's just average?

no, Cotto's superior becuzz he's beaten better WW's and he's the higher ranked btwn. the 2, it's obvious why it's "Clottey deserves a shot at Cotto" and not the other way around

Its more like "boxing fans deserve this fight".
By the way, Clottey skills Cotto in this fight. This fight will be like DLH vs PBF, Cotto will make it look close, but it won't even be close.

Of course not but he doesn't have the exposure nor the names on his resume that Cotto does, so of course Arum will treat him like a second class citizen. I'd expect a Cintron fight or some other mediocre matchup. Arum won't risk a loss before he can cash in a fight with Mosley.

As others have said, does Clottey deserve a chance at Cotto or is it Cotto who deserves a chance at Clottey? If this fight happens the winner will be boxing. This has the makings of a really good fight, a nice blend of styles, two genuine honest fighters and whoever wins will have something else to boast about on their record.

I think Cotto would win though there would be some tough times in the fight. The fight, however, might be good enough to justify a re-match in a year or two.

definitaly not, Clottey and Cotto are 2 different level of fighters.....and nah, no way

Clottey's no FMJ, and DLH's no Cotto, DLH had a horrible game plan against Mayweather, he abandoned his jab and tryed to rough up and maul FMJ which only had him eating counter left hooks and straight rights, worst gameplan i've seen in years

but uhh.....Cotto's jab and backfoot boxing alone would make this fight a different scenario, Clottey aint' got enough pop to take Cotto out his game, plus his hands are faster then Clotteys and he's a better ring general, in fact if Clottey win's more then 5 rounds i'll be shocked and i'll say Cotto fought a bad fight, thats how big the difference is between the 2 fighters in my book

Clottey's a very good fighter, but he just aint no P4P talent, and the difference is gonna show come fight night, you'll see

but don't worry i wont make you rock no gay ass avatar when he loses :good

All wrong. Sad :-(. Where do we start...

DLH & Roach's gameplan was too bring the fight to him while constantly using the jab. DLH got tired, had to cut back on the pressure and the jab, and he payed for being lazy in the stamina training department. But lets not get mad at DLH, according to DLH on 24/7, it was all Roach's fault, even though DLH had been heard saying he just stopped using the jab, which was his fault. DLH = :patsch:patsch:patsch

Cotto's "backfoot boxing" (which is nothing special and very overrated, see AM for obvious reasons) would not be a problem for Clottey, who boxes off the back foot better.

Clottey is better at ring generalship than Cotto. Cotto couldn't even control the tempo against AM.

yeah i saw that ****, trying to blame Roach for that ****...i'm like WTF? GTFO here Oscar

but that aside, i'll save the breakdowns for when the fights official, but **** they both lost to Margarito, and Clottey's not Margarito himself, his lack of power, and lack of workrate will be his end against Cotto

he might as well just giftwrap that title and put a bow on it, cuzz it's as good as Miguels come fight night

    MOSLEYS NEXT!

on another note though, my ***** Berto better be workin his ass off in that gym if he wants to keep his hands on that title, btwn. Cotto, Clottey, Mosley, and hell even guys like Quintana, Collazo, Judah, and bum ass Cintron, theres alot of guys out there thats gotta be eyeying that title and a win over an undefeated champ to add to there resume, i hope he's been putting in work since his last fight

Berto Vs. Cotto 2010 to determine the Undispitued Welterweight Champion of the World :happy:happy

This fight needs to happen. Clottey should take a mandatory (Hlatswhato?) whilst Cotto is destroying Berto, make the fight for later this year, the winner of that gets Mosley in January.
