Who else thinks Fury was probably lucky that the Haye fight didn't happen?

Wilder, Wlad and Whyte were pretty devastating punchers too. I'm not sure why people keep bringing up the USS fight when he's beaten guys who punch 10x as hard. Haye was a good fighter, he would have been favored to win at the time but he most likely gets dominated and possibly stopped. His best win at heavy was Chisora, someone Fury gets shamed for fighting.

I always find it crazy when people say... b,b,b,but he was knocked down by so and so... errrrrr, so what? It's fighting!

It's whether it keeps you down or not, nothing else matters.

    Silly talk.

Fury gets shamed for fighting the CURRENT Chisora, in the current stage of his (Fury's) career, and rightly so.

Back then Chisora was only outpointed by Fury and had just given Vitali a pretty competitive fight. The way he was skillfully blasted out by Haye was really impressive in my eyes.

Wilder was able to put Fury down but I think he lacked skill to effectively follow up. Haye could put them in combinations and was a great finisher.

That might have made the difference but I'm not sure about it too. I just get a feeling it wouldn't have been as comfortable for Fury as people now think. Well, we'll never know.

I think it is lucky it didn't happen as people would've seen how good Fury was then he would've rag dolled Haye and stopped him making others wary of fighting Fury.

Fury beat up Wlad for 12 rounds while Haye ran away. Can you imagine what someone like Wilder would do to Haye?

I did fancy Haye at the time. Once more proving idksab. I guess I was underestimating Fury because that's what I did pre Wlad match.

Haye had all the natural gifts but was always lacking something.. He probably under achieved tbh too.. his resume was pretty poor & he struggled with fighters he should have hammered easily..

Haye would have lost, this is from a Haye fan boy.

It was the training camp that Booth shut up shop on Haye. Haye was losing sparring sessions to fellas he’d normally wipe the floor with.
Shoulder went, and that was all she wrote. Haye actually lost an inch in height after some of his surgery.

Mad to think, he was one snapped Achilles away from the AJ payday (fight and splits were already signed and agreed)

A prime Haye was very good, only a fool would say otherwise. A lack of living the life and the injury prone genetics eventuality took their toll.

Should have been Fury's coming out fight battering that midget into submission

Fury had him mentally, the fight was already won.

Haye would’ve been brutalised. Robotic Wlad outclassed him. Fury would have knocked him out within 6 rounds.

We can be pretty sure Haye was superior to Cunningham and had good hw wins, one being Chisora who Fury struggled with in the first outing. Haye to catch him late for ktfo.
