Terrible logic but I'll play along anyway.

The same top 5 glass jaw boxer with 0 defensive skills who obliterated Judah who, yes you got it, beat Matthysse.

I believe both will get crispy on each other. They have the power to put each other on a coma. We'll see who lands first. Pick em fight. My guess is Garcia ftw.

Garcia has poor timing, he was throwing wildly at Khan and got lucky. Khan was schooling him and would have continued to had he not decided to get into a war and lose his head. Also, Morales is old and past it. Tell me somebody of high calibre apart from the 2 mentioned who Garcia has beaten? Lucas would beat his ass hands down.

Lucas stops Danny Onion Head Garcia. Paramedics will be reviving Angel, but when they find out he won't stop blabbering and how annoying he is they'll sedate him, put him on DNR, and accidentally push him out a 7th floor window in his wheelchair. On fire. Then it explodes.

it seems that a lot of people are underrating the boxing skills of lucas, and overrating the boxing ability of garcia.

garcia doesn't really have much more than sitting back and trying to take advantage of someone stepping in with their shots. yes, when he's got someone hurt like in the khan fight, he can come forward and let his shots go, but, he leaves himself wide open to the counter himself. it's not exactly smooth when he does it. other than coming forward after he's got his man hurt, he doesn't really do so. not with any sort of skill anyway. he's not really built to walk guys down. he's a fighter that sets his feet and looks to counter. in all the other positions, he comes off second best. he's good, but he's being massively overrated in the boxing skills department. he won't be at the top for long.

lucas has shown that he's capable of boxing smart when he's needed to. he's not someone who just walks forwards with no thought to what is coming back, as some are suggesting here. he'll know that going forward with no care about the counter would be stupid, as would his team. jeez, give him a little bit more credit than that.

they'll come forward, but it would be done nice and easy. slowly building up to a higher pace later on in the fight when the timing is real sharp and they have got a feel of what danny is bringing.

it wouldn't be straight off the bat from the opening bell, charging forward with abandon. that's ****ing stupid. you're selling him way short.

for the first 4 or 5 rounds he'll probably look to step in with shots, then step out again. look to bust garcia up slowly. look to see if they can get garcia to abandon the tactics of sitting back and countering, get him to come forward a little, then pick him off themselves. if they feel that this is working, they'll stick to it. but if they feel that lucas can push him back because they have his timing down, they will.

lucas is more than just a come forward brawler. and he'll show it if this fight comes off. i can't see a way for garcia to beat lucas. no way.
lucas will win most of the rounds leading up to a knock out around the 9th. and it may come down to the facial damage that garcia will suffer from.

One advantage though is that he comes in out of a crouch when he wants to stay low out of that guard. I think it might be useful against Garcia to do that since he's usually swinging for the fences at shoulder level. A small dip before launching an overhand right or body attack could see Matthysse's offensive timing and angle trump Garcia's.
