Who else thought that Lara ran from Canelo?

most people dksab, and hating canelo is very fashionable on esb, so the talking out the ass is constant. its just another one of those things that gets constantly repeated here, but nobody can explain what they mean when they say it.

 

I watched this fight back two weeks ago and you're just outright absolutely wrong. Lara lqnded more cleaner/better shots in more rounds than Canelo. Lara was landing solid straight lefts and jabs throughout. Canelo was landing to the body but a lot was hitting elbows and a lot was with the inside of his glove (hence a slap). Clear robbery

 

I went back and watched this fight and it was very close. I could easily see giving it to Lara. If Lara ranc what did Canelo do ooh the first GGG fight? Canelo apologists/fans call it smart boxing when he runs and cowardly running when someone boxes him. Get ready for more because BJS isn’t going to stand and trade with him. He’s going to be moving and trying to win a boxing match. Not sure if he has it in him but I’m excited to see this one. Just not as excited as I was four or five years ago when I really wanted to see it. BJS hasn’t looked good in a long time.

 

Lara ran and made the fight a stinker so even though he deserved to win by a single point, I'm fine with him getting the shaft. He had an opportunity to be great, a shot at the brass ring and he blew it. Such a waste of a talent. He and Rigondeaux could have both been top ten of their generation but they never stretched or tested themselves.

 

What's youre scorecard after "really assessing it?"

 

Yeah it's obviously that he ran, I expect for Saunders to do the same but he's not as fast or skilled as prime Lara was.

 

dude Canelo landed close to 200 punches on GGG in fight I, Lara landed 90, at points in time in the fight Lara literally turned completely around and ran to the other side of the ring, even fighters who scored it for Lara said he ran.


Most of my favorite fighters all time are boxers and to call that shameful display by Lara “Boxing” is an insult to the sport, Lara has never fought as negatively before or since facing Alvarez.

 

Lara did very well the first half of the fight but did nothing in the second half to win. He lost the fight it was his fault.

 

Mate shut the hell up honestly. First of all that statistic is just outright untrue and secondly, boxing is ultimately about landing punches, which is what Lara did. Lara landed more cleaner/effective punches in 7-8 of 12 rounds. What Canelo did was land the odd body shot, the odd elbows and arm shots and the standard Canelo inside glove "punch"

 

The only people that think Lara did not beat Ginger are the fools that worship his ginger nuts & the little 13 yr old girls screaming for him for the same reason

In my opinion if Lara did not beat Canelo Floyd never won a fight over 135 lol
