that Hopkins makes a great analyst :think

I thought he pointed out all the right things in my mind as I watched the Solis fight about conditioning and going to the body...I think he makes for a GREAT commentator. The man TRULY knows his boxing :deal

Good in some spots, not so good in others. I thought it was funny when he kept referring to Margarito as Mayorga.

Overall, I think it'll be good to have him in there.

Allan Green is a great commentator. He sounds more educated than hopkins.

He makes a decent analyst. However, he would make an AWFUL commentator. He isn't good at talking on the fly.

to early to really judge esp when he was cut off due to tech difficulties.

but so far he was alrite. i mean, he pointed out the obvious in which many fans can but more importantly he didnt have any rhythme.. to be a great commentator you gotta be able to speak with a lil more energy and switch up your tone to emphasize on what your trying to get across... i didnt hear any witty analogies either.

Yes. You have to have some spice, and a really fast, sharp mind to be a good commentator. You also have to speak clearly, and get your point across fast. Hopkins speaks in one low tone, doesn't think or speak well on the spot, or on the fly... and when he is trying to make a point, he drags it on for far too long. You can even tell that he is trying to think of the right words, and almost loses his train of thought.

He does know his stuff though, so he can make for a good analyst. Just not a good commentator.

That's actually very true :good...He talks just like he fights...slow and picks his spots carefully :yep

I don't think they're gonna be putting him behind the table anytime soon

I don't think that they are at all. They even referred to him as their "boxing analyst" for the rest of the year.

Time for Teddy Atlas to be replaced by B-hop.

Hops did good. However, I can see trouble brewing when Atlas starts talking out his ass, and BHop shuts him down.
