Who else was impressed by Garcia's timing and counter punching?

Honestly we were fooled by the HBO showing of Morales vs Garcia in which Erik did well for an old shot fighter, so much so that he stunned Danny late in that fight.
I had Khan UD or late stoppage based on that, but knew that the counter left hook that dropped Morales was Dannys ticket to win.

Here is whats ****ed up, I didnt pay attention to details regarding the Morales Garcia fight, I rewatched it a day before Khan Garcia and wouldnt you know Winnings gloves were used.....

Imagine where Erik would be right now had them Reyes been used.....

Thats what impressed me, and I aint going to sit here and say Khan was dominating either, people throw that word out there too much.
Yes Khan won the first two rounds No doubt, But the question is are you really winning IF the other guy is simply dragging you into a slug out?

Thats what Danny was doing from the get, he didnt want Khan to box, he drug him into a fight.... so yes Khan won the rounds, but in no way can you even say he was dominating Danny knew Khan had flaws and lots of them.

Like I said before you can google pictures for Khan vs Garcia, Barrera, Peterson, Maidana, Judah, and each and every time you look at those pictures his right hand is down.
He drops his hands when ever he starts punching he does not keep that right hand up.

The kid knew exactly how to make it his fight and did so, they knew Khan makes mistakes and they knew Khans chin was suspect. what didnt help either, is Khan stating at the final presser that he was coming knock Danny out....

 

i thought it was funny how the commentators were going on about khan and his speed and power....and garcia didn't seem fazed by it at all. i noticed that garcia was timing him well and placing his counters perfectly. there was a definite speed difference but u could see that he wasn't letting it deter him from what they set out to do.

i thought garcia gave as good as he got in the first few rounds and i don't know what the **** jim, max and manny were talking about.

manny was going on about how his right hand wasn't straight and it wasn't this and it wasn't that. that right hand did plenty of damage.

max was going on about danny attempting to touch gloves after the 2nd but failed to mention that khan is the one who was trying to "make friends" after the first.

khan was in a drunken stuper...falling all over the place...running for dear life...and lampley is screaming that khan "has taken back over the fight!" wtf was he watching!?!?!?

where do they get these clowns!? seriously....i can do a much better job than all three combined.

 

He has some well timed shots.....it´s probably the best (and only) really good attribute he has.......

 

I believe Lampley said some **** like this... Lampley "in the 3rd Round I declaired the fight over since then Amir Khan has come back to take over the fight"

I didn't understand that either. Made no sense.

I can only guess is was a slick way of saying that Khan was getting back into he fight after being knocked around and almost stopped. Obviously that wasn't he case.

But yeah, agree with your OP. (rare, I know.)

And I disagree with those that think Garcia won because of one lucky punch. Kahn was fully recovered in the next round, yet Gacia kept peppering him with good shots. He deserves the victory 100%.

Having said that, Garcia REALLY needs to work on his accuracy. His "percentage landed" was extremely low. Against a top counter-puncher (not Kahn) he would be in big trouble. Plus, he's in danger of gassing out from all those misses.

If he can get that together, he'll be a serious force in the sport for quite a few years.
