Just wondering what people think. I actually think, it was Clottey because he fought a naturally much smaller man that only had his 2nd fight in that weight, where Kingpin fought a much bigger man that had been the best in the division for quite sometime now.
atleast clottey didn't talk so much **** before/after the fight about knocking out/busting up his opponent.
K Johnson easily . People are being too hard on clottey. Yeah he could have done more but if you've ever seen him fight before, that was pretty much his normal fight. And when you got a guy throwing 1200 punches at you, what the **** could he have done? Yeah he could have let his hands go more and gave a more exciting fight. But Clottey has never been that kind of fighter. He said it himself on the ESB interview, that if it wasn't for his defense he would have got knocked out.
The same argument could be applied for Kingpin as well. Vitaly threw over 1000 punches in that fight, what could have he done better, right?
I'll go against the grain and say Clottey. He has enough talent to win such fights, whereas Johnson just ain't that good and wasn't going to win no matter how hard he tried, barring devine intervention.
KJ by a landslide... certainly after all his trashtalking! We know it's Clottey's style, and he got a bit overwhelmed it seems... very bad showing though.
Clottey was landing good, hard shots. Just not enough. Johnson wasn't doing **** but standing around and waving his arms around.
Clottey was incredibly humble during the leadup to the fight, almost telling us that he knew he was going to lose and just didn't want to get knocked out. Kevin Johnson talked an incredible amount of smack before the Klitschko fight and then fought one of the worst bouts I've ever seen. Kingpin by a long shot.
