Not really ducked but he was certainly avoided there is no other way to explain why Ortiz couldn't get a title shot but Pulev is currently a Mando Challenger for a belt

Joshua shamelessly avoided Ortiz in 2017. Ortiz stepped aside and allowed Joshua to fight Wlad with the guarentee that he’d get an immediate shot at Joshua, but after beating Wlad Joshua and Hearn weasled out of the guarantee. They tried the same with Pulev, but unlike Ortiz Pulev has rich well connected backers, who didn’t allow Hearns to pull any of his tricks.

All of the heavyweight division is ducking one another

excluding Fury who will fight any man any time and any place.

Watch out to see what Hearn does with AJ after he beats Pulev. If he gives Usyk the fight then he is ducking Fury.

Fury AJ should be an absolute certainty for summer of 2021. If AJ & Eddie run off with another man then it's a duck.

All jokes aside Eddie was talking about AJ dropping the WBA belt because he didn’t want him to face Ortiz in 2017.. And the WBC did order an eliminator for a Whyte vs Ortiz twice and Whyte wasn’t particularly looking for that fight..
That’s why the whole 1000 day mandatory thing is bogus on Whyte part. He chose to fight Parker coming of a loss without the guarantee of a title fight, turned down the AJ rematch, chose to not fight Pulev for the IBF mandatory and then he ignored the WBCs request to fight Ortiz twice.. Also when he finally agrees to face a WBC eliminator the funny situation with the failed drug test happens..

Yeah Allen took the Ortiz fight on short notice, 2 weeks notice and wasn't anywhere near fit and still went 7 with this apparent MONSTER.

David Price stopped Allen, so did Tony Yoka, ain't that something.

    What's Ortiz' best win?

I'm not sure Parker was more accomplished. Ortiz had beaten the crap out of a top 5 rated fighter whereas Parker lost to every top 5 guy he fought.

Parker had only 1 loss at the time.
And Joshua stands way above Jennings.

He lost to Joshua. Ortiz had zero loses. Just stop.

    OK, Mr. BoxRec.
You could have gone with "Ortiz beat Jennings" but nah, you stuck with the 0s and 1s.

Jennings was a legit top 10 contender and at the time was better than anyone Parker had beaten.
However, overall, Parker had the better resume.

You aren’t very good at this. Maybe you didn’t go far enough in school to construct persuasive arguments.

You said he was “definitely” more accomplished and higher ranked. I pointed out that he arguably wasn’t, because Ortiz had beaten a top 5 contender and Parker had not.

You pointed out that Parker had 1 loss. I pointed out that Ortiz had zero.

You have now provided zero reasoning for Parker having a better resume but have claimed that again.

Oh, I am sorry for my bad English, as it is my 3rd language.
And myself got confused by your own wording.

Whatever. I still think Parker had the better resume at the time, even tho Ortiz had beaten Jennings.

Aside from scraping by Ruiz while having homefield advantage, his resume was/is limited. And Ruiz got the call because it was unknown how good he was.

I never really rated Takam, Dinitrenko or Hughie.

Povetkin fought and won eliminators to get his title shots. How many eliminators has Luis Ortiz fought?
