didnt duck shane at all really..just was never able to come to terms...i mean if floyd ducked shane than the same can be said about shane ducking floyd...I dont believe either guy ducked each other...just think that certain items couldn't make the fight happen and now that it can be made it is

 

At 130: Nobody. He could've fought Casamayor. Although Casa was just getting fame when Mayweater had already cleaned and was about to leave the division.

At 135: ¿Spadafora? Bull****. Mayweather was fighting guys like Corrales and Castillo.

At 140: ¿Tszyu? No. Mayweather/Gatti winner was supposed to fight Tszyu/Hatton winner. Tszyu was shot and lost. Then Mayweather, in 2007, fought Hatton.

At 147: I think Mayweather didn't want to fight Margarito. Now he's going to fight Margarito's conqueror, Mosley.

P.S. Williams was always too big.

 

You can make a pretty strong argument that he avoided Freitas at 130. And Corrales was at 130, not 135.

The strongest arguments are for Margarito (turned down a documented offer of $8M to fight him) and Cotto (retired rather than fighting who would have been the biggest money fight available). All of the arguments have holes in them, but the fact there are SO MANY guys who you could make a plausible argument that he avoided means there's probably at least a little bit of truth to it.

What he said! But I will say it looks more like Floyd wanted Shane early on and Shane wanted Floyd later on. Now they are both fighting b/c they both need each other. Shane deserved this kind of pay day.
