Mayweather said he was TGOAT when he hadn't even fought a live welterweight. Now he's fighting Mosely because compared to a Pacquaio fight it's the easy option. (AND YES I AM RIGHT ABOUT THAT, Cotto beat Mosely and Pac destroyed Cotto.

 

Why even say stuff like this? Tszyu retired. Cotto was protected by Arum. Hatton got KTFO. Mosley declined the challenge and let ODLH, Hatton, and a scheduled rematch with ODLH/retirement put him out of contention.

Margarito had a less than stellar performance against Clottey and lost to Williams during this time. Williams went on to lose to Quintana. Those guys pushed themselves out of position.

After Mosley he needs to step it up and aim for ATG status.

 

Cotto beat Mosley and a month later Mayweather beat Hatton. People say he ducked Cotto, but to be fair he was looking to fight DLH a second time so he was just looking for a bigger payday and not actually ducking Cotto.

He might have ducked Margarito but I don't think he ducked a prime Shane.

He backed out in the rematch against DLH after having on on a split decision the first fight.

 

First off, the SD was bull****. Mayweather clearly won that fight. Second, this is first time that I've ever heard anyone claim that he withdrew from the rematch with DLH out of fear. When it was reported that a second fight was on the table, Mayweather got ripped to shreds for not fighting Cotto or Margarito.

 

No one wanted to see floyd vs oscar 2.
But he did avoid the fight.
