So your sarcasm tells me that you DON'T think Floyd is ducking anyone and is fighting the toughest possible challenger. :deal
If I see a baseball flying at someone's head and they aren't paying attention, sometimes I will have a freudian slip and yell "FLOYD!"
he never really ducked ne one. there are solid fighters that we have like 2 see him fight but that is for every great fighter. there are always solid fighters that we would of like to see them fight, but in all likeness the great fiter would win. if mayweather/cotto fought mayweather would win easily .
I'm gonna send you a homework assignment and you can get back to me tomorrow, then we'll proceed with the lesson :good
Yeah I just hope this fight is entertaining. There is a good possibility it will be Floyd pot shotting and winning a wide UD. Shane might not be able to get to him. I'm gonna be in Vegas for it, not at the actual fight, but taking in the atmosphere. Pumped
Vegas is amazing for fights. I was in the MGM during tyson vs holyfield... I saw jack nicholson, playboy bunnies.... met busta rhymes and a wayne's brother.
130 - no one 135 - no one 140 - Tszyu (He fought once at 140 against Gatti, very similar to Whitaker making a pitstop at 140 against Pineda.) 147 - Cotto, Margarito (I don't buy the Williams argument because there was no mainstream interest/money in a PBF-PW fight at the time. But yes, he ducked Margarito. He could've fought him numerous times, and this was BEFORE Plaster-gate. And he should've fought Cotto. While Cotto became WBA 147 champ in 12/06, Floyd did have bigger fish to fry moneywise in taking fights against DLH and Hatton. But afterwards, he "retired" while Cotto was in the middle of his reign at 147, complete with a win over Mosley. Floyd missed the bus for that fight.) Floyd deserves props for taking on Mosley, albeit past Mosley's prime and after losing to Cotto. He could've taken on a much worse welterweight to pad his record, but he didn't. I think this fight will do a lot to quiet people that he hasn't taken on a legit welter.
But even with that argument, it makes sense that he avoided Marg and moved on to bigger and better things. It's like these clowns wanted him to be stuck with Arum for 8 more fights. No thanks. I will skip the small payday, escape Arum and go make $20 million with Oscar in a fight that Arum couldn't make happen.
