He shut-out the guy who is kryptonite to Pacquiao, his biggest rival in the entire sport. That's is the reason for the fight.

So he beat up a little guy to prove he can beat up little guys to a smaller man?

Why didn't he beat up shane mosley and get himself the lion's share?

HE says HE is the greatest. No-one is ever coming close to Robinson in my eyes.

He was out for a long time. Do you not think Mosley would take a warm up fight before Mayweather if he could? Hopkins did it last time out, he fought a middleweight didn't he? A stay busy fight.

At first i thought they were bluffing.... actually, i thought that since 2007, that they were trying to build it up. But then Cotto lost to Margarito and all was lost.

I still hate that, because Floyd-Cotto would've been an awesome matchup in many ways. Pressure fighter vs skilled boxer, both (more or less) in the same weight class, USA vs PR, etc.

Yeah, which is why fans will call him out on it.
What is the point of defending him when he is digging his own grave?
He wants to be a villain, he wants to be hated, what's the point of trying to stop it?

I'm sure Mosley would love to take an easy fight but doesn't want to risk losing to a guy like Berto and killing the big fight. If Mosley were to take a lesser fight than Berto, he would be criticized heavily and I doubt HBO would have much interest.

Im a fan of his, and I will defend him from time to time. But I won't defend him to the end of the earth just because im a fan.
Im not to keen on him when he is being interviewed outside the ring, because like you said he digs his own grave.
But I enjoy watching him more than any other active boxer. Everyone feels the need to defend there favourite boxers, but the majority can be blinded when defending said boxer.

Right! even though Floyd is either loved or Hated (rarely any inbetweens) he brings a different dynamic to a sport that has roots with the whole "Good vs BAD" theme.

Shane has a GREAT chance at KOing Floyd....and I do believe Shane feels Floyd is scared. Not that I believe Floyd is scared...but that mental edge for shane could prove vital in beating Floyd who is in his prime and operating at his highest level.

If Floyd gets caught like he did with Chop.....You can bet Shane will end things if not with one shot....by the follow up. My concern for SHane is the speed and elusiveness of Floyd will not allow Shane to mount any meaningful offense. If FLoyd faught like he did with DLH where he was on the outside...using his feet to avoid the close quarters I see him having a tough night and will loose the decision. I'd like to see Shane win myself but only b/c Shane deserves this! He should be as popular as Manny and Floyd....a win against FLoyd will give him that kind of recognition that has avoided him for his entire career.

You will never hear me knock his boxing skills or talent.

He just needs to know his role as a great boxer and not the greatest boxer who ever lived.

He was offered the highest purse up to date at that time, you continuing to disrespect Latin people disgust me but I understand you wish you knew your background, you wish you knew where you came from but you dont, all you know is your Daddys name isnt on your birth certificate and you grew up eating Gubment cheese in the projects because who ever your daddy was obviously wasnt willing to work to pay his child support, and you wish your daddy at least had the balls to sell oranges by the freeway to support your sorry ass which is why your fried chicken eatin ass hates on Latinos becuase you see clearly we do what ever it takes to feed ours while you rely on that monthly gubment issued check.......
