Who faced more punchers Lewis or Ali?

Exactly and for what other purpose would someone bring up the question than to prove or disprove someone's chin??

 

hmm somehow I thought Bowe on that night was better than the likes of Spinks, and Wepner, but apparently not.

 

I'm 52 so yes I was alive, were you? Bowe's only claim to fame is his two victories over Holyfield, in one of those victories he was knocked down.

Nobody was talking about Bowe being washed up right after he won that trilogy, as it was damn hear the pinnacle of his career.

 

Very odd?? It must be an area thing maybe? Very wierd?? EVERYONE I knew and everyone that talked boxing at the time pretty much agreed Bowe was finished after he lost the Holy rematch?? And that was exactly the same thing that most press I was reading was suggesting at the time too?? Do you live in some parralel dimension which had totally different press and everyone thought that Bowes prime fight was the third (??) Holy fight?? I thought his only prime fight was the first Holy fight?? Bowe was never the same fighter again after that?

 

Of course, but my point isn't that Holyfield was a devasting puncher, my point has been that Lewis was in the ring with Holyfiled twice and was never down, the same can't be said about either Tyson or Bowe.

So either Lewis' chin is better than he's been given credit for, or his boxing skills are better, either way when you're considering who beats who in mythical match ups you can't just say well if Rahman or McCall could stop Lewis than fighter A, B, or C could as well, because if that were true, fighters like Holyfield and Vitali would have done so. Not can you use the argument that Lewis wasn't hit cleanly by either fighter, because that clearly wasn't the case. In fact during the 2nd fight one of the commenters mentioned that Lewis was essentially hit by the same type of punch that dropped Bowe.

That's my over all point.

 

So what happened afterwards, he won the 3rd fight no?

Never said his prime was the 3rd fight, just that he wasn't finished. There's a lot of space between those two extremes and I'm suggesting that he was in that space.

But after reading my previous reply, I did imply that this wasn't the case, my oversight.

And yeah he did win that fight but again pretty much the entire world, in the dimension that I exist in anyway, was basically thinking it was because Holy was on the verge of dying from either a heart condition, excessive PED abuse or any number of any of the ailments he was documented to be suffering with at the time was it Hep B or something aswell - maybe they didn't happen in your town though so forgive me if you didn't get the rest of the worlds news :good

 

Right, Tyson's glass chin couldn't even take McBride and Williams' power. I think it must've been a fluke how he took uppercuts from Ruddock. Or how he never really even got hurt before Douglas. It's a hum-dinger, ain't it? I mean, same guy same chin.

Why would you not consider a fighter with a 91 percent ko ratio a puncher?
