    Go eat a dick.

I can't even fathom why someone would think Dirrell is faking. Hit full force and unprotected by the hardest P4P puncher in the sport. Guys have their nervous systems seize up all the time after getting knocked out.

Griffin maybe acted a little, but there wasn't any reason for him not to. And even as such, he was hit by a pretty damn hard shot while he was prone too. Not acting any more than, say, Luevano against Concepcion. And sometimes it backfires and they call it a knockout anyway.

But I never see "Was Mendy faking" or "was Luevano faking" threads. But even if he was, it doesn't matter. He was fouled in a way that was a DQable offense. Period. Get the **** over it.

i dont know if dirrell faked it or not but he is a little *****

he whines and complains to the ref when the going gets tough, he bends his head over leaving the back of his head exposed and then complains when he gets hit, he takes a knee and somehow doesn't get counted for it because of his crying

im glad hies not fighting ward, ward would have put the beating on him and made him cry like the little crackwhore son he is.

No doubt Jones is a puncher, but it didn't land super clean as he was moving and Griffin looked straight at the ref, put his head down awkwardly, and was still able to just look around and ****. Something about his body language doesn't seem authentic in the way he went down. The fall was forced, his body didn't shut down. And he was all smiles once the count was over, perfectly able to hug Jones afterward.

Dirrel on the other hand, we saw his head snap back, Abraham wound up that one punch (not in the middle of a flurry), and Dirrel was on both knees with his chin exposed, not one knee with his head down. His reaction to the punch was immediate, and he wasn't right for a good while. I think there's a clear difference.

At the end of the day I have no idea and wouldn't claim to know what it's like to take a punch of that caliber when down, but Griffin looked very suspicious in his inconsistent behavior while Dirrel's was consistent with the visible effect of the punch and after he tried to recover.

Lets say that both of them were faking for the sake of arguing - should either one of the DQ's be taken back?

If the answer is NO - then it doesn't make a difference who was faking or not - cause it was still a DQing foul.

I think both were DQ worthy, but it's arguable the referee wasn't doing his job (even though it's nearly impossible to be everywhere at once) or would have simply taken a point without the dramatic follow ups, like Barrera Marquez.

    Dirrell got my vote

The worst fake is Hopkins when he fought JONES JR. in their rematch.

No then it's not! If the ref thinks it's an intentional foul it's a 2 points deduction, another foul afterwards and it's a DQ.
Faking an injury, is unsportsmanlike behaviour. Closer to a DQ than an normal intentional foul.

What does having or having not boxed before have anything to do with this? :?

most who have never boxed dont kn ow the force of a punch. it doesnt need to look vicious to cause damage. ESPECIALLy on the temple or head. hence the comment that alotta cats have NEVER boxed before.

No but it doesn't give you much insight if that punch was or wasn't a KO. I've seen punches that look totally powerless knock a guy clean out and I've seen visably monsterous punches been shaken off like it was a jab.
And the way people react to a punch can be different in so many ways also, but sometimes it just looks fake.
Having boxed (or having done another fightsport) doesn't help much with determining that.

    Suck a bag of dicks.

You're in no position of claiming anyone was 'faking'. Do you realize how hard he got hit? without looking? Dirrell was clearly winning anyway why would he want out in the 11th round??
