    I agree ... skills aren't good and is a product of boxer witness protection program.

    Hasn't fought even 10 former/current world champions ...

    Beat an active B-Hop and Chris Eubanks ... I don't give anyone else on Calzaghe's resume as much credit. (not even Kessler)

    He's a product of media hype and just another undefeated fighter on Jones' resume.

    his 20+ defenses dont mean **** when the WBO wasnt even recognised as a legit organisation until the early 2000s. He took the easiest route to a title he could and only 4 of his defenses were against guys in top 10 at the time (as stated in previous threads)
    lacy= ****
    kessler = another protected euro fighter
    hopkins= beat calzaghe

    The WBO supermiddleweight title has been totaly legit since its champ drew with the WBC champ. Obviously the WBO hasnt had the same level of prestige at other weights but at supermiddleweight it has been legit since about 93 and unlike other straps was not been marred since by the antics of some german refs and judges. Its only champ before that time was a certain Mr Hearns so a strong argument could be made for its legitimacy prior to that.

    Only 4 of his opponents were in the top ten? Sorry got to call bull on that. Eubank, Reid, Brewer, Mitchel, Veit, Kessler, Lacy, Woodhall, Sheika, Bika, Hopkins were all certain top tens in any realistic rankings.

    And? Even greats like Hagler havnt done that. Doing that above middleweight is a rarity.

    10 year champ, unbeaten in 45 outtings despite breaking his hands in fights several times, only touched the canvas 3 times and got up to win each time, unified a division and beat the man in the division above. What a fraud. Idiot.

    Along with the people who claim that Pacquaio would cleanse the WW division.

    Calzaghe is a great fighter but didnt use his greatness to the fullest by fighting a bunch of tomato cans. His only significant win are against Jeff Lacy who we all know as good at best. Kessler who ducked miranda and the ancient Hopkins and Eubank.

    The biggest issue is that he didn't chase a fight with the p4p number one when he was in the division above him for years.

    Plus it took him far too long to win one of the three proper belts.

    Charles Brewer IBF SMW
    Byron Mitchell WBA SMW

    Veit was WBO interim champ and WBC international, never a full world champ.
