Nobody is hating, its just common sense that people would think no fighter deserves 100 mill for 1 fight.

Maybe but why does he have to say it at all? He's not a likeable person so now that he's retired why has he instantly become an attention *****?

 

I agree about the generic answers but, as people have said, Mayweather is apparently putting on an act & is really a nice guy so he's not really "letting it be known" he's just being an attention seeker. He could do more constructive things with his time than try & stir up **** & be controversial. He's made a fortune out of boxing, why not just enjoy it instead of acting like a tosser?

 

Good post and it's true what you're saying. But no fighter should get that much he is not even a sports icon. Jordan and Woods are icons and I they didn't get that kind of money in a season. But I don't know about WOODS. fLOYD IS NOT ON THAT LEVEL.

 

He's got his loyal fans who'll probably pay to see him. I'm not a fan but I do want to see his fights on youtube or replays.

Nobody is woth that much as no promoter would want to stage a fight to lose money. Personally, I will not pay to see a running fight. Yes defense is part of boxing, but too much holding should be penalized and be banned from boxing. We watch boxing to see boxing and not holding and clinching.

I think me and u are on the same level. Huge fans but he is talking real stupid now. I dont even know why there is so many post about thim today. If he wants to stay retird let him and we should even make these threads and post, because thats what he wants. All the fans wanted was for him to fight the best

 

There are too many posts about him because he's the biggest name in boxing right now, clearly. Whatever he says or does there will be numerous threads about, that's why it's sad he retired and that interview which was 90% boxing related should be good enough proof that he still has boxing in mind and wants a serious offer(the 100 million is him exaggerrating, but stil hinting) to come back for another good fight.
