Tyson gets a lot of flack for having a weak resume. Who do you think has the better resume? Are wins over Ellis and Ali greater than Razor, Berbick, Holmes (old)?

Not many guys reach the level of Frazier. But Tyson had a good resume if you look at all the guys he fought. He didn't beat them all, but neither did Frazier. Mike was never beaten in his prime like Frazier was in a onesided fight.

But ellis was a CW. Ali had the first war with Frazier which he lost, then TKOs Ellis 4 months later :rofl

I figured you'd have an answer to the question you were asking, and I just wanted to read it before I sent a decent response. You obviously don't need my opinion; you've got an obnoxious agenda of your own.

Actually I hadn't thought of the point I had made until AFTER you posted. If you read my posts I'm actually not a fan of Tyson at all. I guess maybe you shouldn't post opinions on open forums if you get so upset and become filled with ideas of conspiracy when somebody simply offers a counter argument without even necessarily disagreeing with you. :|:|:|:|:|

Frazier has the stronger top few wins, Tyson has greater depth. Overall, I'd give the edge in resume to Mike, though obviously nothing he has comes anywhere near the win over Ali.

Yeah, but Mike was lucky enough to have a prime of 3 years.

Frazier beat a lot of the guys from the late 60s. That's much better than late 80s.

And Frazier beat Ali; arguably the best win in heavyweight history.

    Frazier > Tyson

Frazier's prime was actually pretty short. If you're talking about Foreman, Smokin' Joe was 10 lbs overweight and his timing was way off. His prime ended after the FOTC in my opinion. How do you get up for another fight when you've already beaten the greatest?

    Tyson has 0 great wins............0

Frazier has several and when he lost to the greats he did not crumble like Tyson did, he fought to the death.

Frazier is not top 20, probably top 25.....and anyone who places Tyson above him clearly does not know boxing.

Frazier beat Ali handily and beat the **** out of almost every legitimate contender of the 60's. One could possibly penalize Frazier for not fighting Spencer or Terrell but I am of the opinion that he fought everyone he should have fought to be considered one of the 2 best HWs in the world at the time.

Tyson , despite struggling a bit with Tillis and Bonecrusher, ran through the division. The only glaring absences on his 80's resume are Spoon and Page but he still fought everyone he needed to fight to be considered the best HW in the world. Tyson/Spoon would have been great though.

In what sense was Frazier 'prime' for Foreman?

He was 10lbs overweight and almost legally blind in one eye.
