I agree with that. I mean Forrest was put P4P #3 or so after he beat Mosley in the upset. Then Mayorga blasts out Forrest and doesn't get ranked? :huh

I probably would have floated margarito after beating Cotto around 8-10 P4P and same for Shane after he beat down Margarito.

I think what this really proves is how ****ing weak this era of boxing is. Can you name 10 more accomplished and better fighters with as big a win as Shane Mosley (over Marg) at that point? it'd be difficult.

So this is proof that he was "overtrained"

Maybe he was just in great shape from all the training?

Unless you were in his camps and saw what condition he was in, you're just talking speculative nonsense.

He hadnt fought in about a year....maybe he was rusty too?

    Rusty AND overtrained..perfect right?

Again, that shows the flaws involved in the P4P ranking. One big win shouldn't jump one up like that. But I agree with the rest of what you said. Boxing is all about show business now. Hasn't been a real sport for a while now.

    Of course it's Mayweather.
Not by a country mile though.

how could mosley be in great shape when he was gasping for air in the third round just after a big 2nd round from him? it's a sign of a mosley burn-out.

Mosley had a torn achilles tendon against Pacquiao then since we're taking all the excuses thrown at us

Not to mention Mayorga was basically beating Shane before Mosley came with that Sledgehammer in the 12th.

    Well Mayweather did.

And it's really not as close as some would think, considering the last thing to leave a fighter is his punching power and the one of the first things to leave a fighter are his legs

You had Mayorga beating Shane up till the KO?:huh As bad as Shane looked, and he did look bad, he was the only one landing the clean shots.

I remember it being close. I don't think I personally had him winning, but I remember someone saying that Mayorga's activity could influence the judges.

On second thought, maybe I need to watch it again. It's been a while lol. :think
