Don't waste your time. Wasn't a pretty fight. I can't begrudge anyone who thinks Mayorga was winning. He has a way of making fights sloppy. And Shane is so inconsistent.

Lol. That's true. Anytime Shane faced a fighter with boxing skills he got outclassed. I still say he lost at least one of those De La Hoya fights.

I wouldn't go that far. Far too many call fighters unskilled just because they aren't as technical as Mayweather or Ward. ALL these guys are skilled. Look at his first fight w/ DLH. Was a beautiful, action fight with two highly skilled fighters. I just think the first Vern Forrest fight ruined Shane's confidence forever. He was never the same fighter after that.

Maybe I chose my words poorly. I've always thought of Mosley as a "brawler's kryptonite". I really would've liked to see a fight between him and Tito.

Good point about the Forrest fight. I think people really underestimate the effect that certain types of loses have on certain fighters. I never really considered that possiblity with Mosley.

I like that, brawler's kryptonite! :good He apparently made quite the reputation for himself in the gym in Socal growing up. But yeah, he has power, a sturdy chin, and fast as hell hands! Plus back then, he used to throw beautiful combinations. But like a lot of fighters, fell in love with his power, and abandoned a big part of his game, the combination punching and body attack. He has the tools physically to be an ATG, but once he lost his confidence, he could never look great again. It's a shame he skipped over 140 though. I think he'd have been a beast there!
