Who fought the better Shane Mosley, Mayweather or Pac?

Ok. Here's the similarity if you want to be pedantic.

Two guys that were at, or very near, their peak - both fought a guy, within a year of each other, who was nearly 40 and done.

 

One fought a guy coming off a career defining victory the other fought a guy coming off a draw against sergio mora.

Seriously **** off.

Mosley lost to Cotto in his only loss in 6 years. Creamed Margarito 2 years later, became champ and fought Floyd.

Pac ducked Mosley after Mosley crushed Margarito. Mosley was almost shut out by Mayweather and had a draw against Mora when Pac finally agreed to fight him two years later.

 

Shane was there for a paycheck against Pac. Left GP and beg Arum for a final big payday.

Pacquiao beat an unranked Mosley coming off a draw with some guy off a tv show.

 

Agreed.

Neither Pac nor Mayweather fought a decent version of Mosley. This is like asking whether a guy would rather bang Rosie Odonnel or Roseann Barr, there is no right answer.
