    You mean their first fight? Because the rematch was thorough beatdown. Even the 1st match wasnt really that close. They didn't call a KD for Hopkins and still he won 8 rounds to 4

    Yeah I meant the first fight, 2 KDs is more than what most fighters did to Hopkins at that time.

    That would be an immense projection. No-one had assumed control and the bout was young. Who would know how much damage falling out of the ring caused he fell all the way to the floor out of control.

    For sure even ignoring the KDs after that fight the next guy to win 4 rounds vs Hopkins was probably Jermaine Taylor a decade later.

    But with all that said lets not act like it was a legitimate draw, Hopkins won that fight

    He was very reluctant to engage, could be coincidence, but hes been here before maybe exaggerating injury
