the fact of the matter is that Margarito beat Cotto legitimately, as hard as it is for cotto fans to admit. :tong His wraps were seen and signed by the NSAC. If cotto's team didn't see the wraps, well then they're idiots, but the commission was watching, and they were clean.

Pacquiao might not have cut cotto at all, but he sure did disfigure his face a lot more, and made it much more swollen

Pacquiao's face was battered up after he fought Cotto, and Cotto's already was bloodied up in the 2nd round when he fought Margarito.

Cotto was much more competitive with Margarito than he was with Pacquiao, but he also took a worse physical beating. If the topic was "who was more dominant?" then it would be Pacquiao. Regarding the beating and damage taken, then it's the Margarito bout.

Margarito is the obvious answer.

He broke Cotto`s will & made him stay down... Pacquiao was on the way to a dominating UD until the ref gifted him a stoppage.

 

Gifted? U serious? That stoppage was a gift for Cotto . They should have stopped it 3 rounds earlier.

imo, I think Pac beat him down worse. Margo didn't start beating Cotto up until the later rounds and it was really accumulated damage. Pac was landing bombs on cotto consistently from the 4th round onwards. His face looked disfigured after the fight.

 

That stoppage was a fkn joke, c`mon man.

Cotto showed all the heart in the world & made his mind up that he wasnt getting stopped, he came thru some bad rounds, especially round 9, for the ref to stop the fight so late on in the 12th when Pacquiao lands just 1 punch that never even wobbled Cotto was disgraceful IMO, if he was gonna stop the fight he should have did it 3 rds earlier when it would have been more appropriate.
No way Cotto was getting KO`d if that ref never stepped in... that ref had a bet on or something.
