Who gave Margo a bigger beat down?

Shane didn't start pounding Marg until the 8th...Pac pounded Marg all 12 rounds. Marg's size versus Pac's is the only thing that held him up.

 

It seems people might have different understanding of beat downs. I think it's one thing to cut someone up and another thing to give someone a concussion. I think being the tale end of a KO is worse because you are definitely taking brain damage and losing control of your body. When you get cut you may not necessarily be taking damage that will effect your long term health.

Swelling and cuts are visually easy to see, concussions not so much. Unless you are an MRI tech such as myself ;-)

Margarito's beat down from Mosely made me worry he would be not be the same fighter afterwards. Pacquiao's beat down made me cringe, but not nearly as much. Regardless, Margarito definitely lost some brain cells after both fights.

If this is some contest among fans to say who us better, Pacquiao would still whip Mosely's butt.

 

a knockdown is more emphatic- and more dramatic- but a knockdown is often the best thing for a fighter as opposed to a long drawn out beating like what tony got last nite. anyone thats sparred has been knocked down, and gotten buzzed like what tony did in the shane fight- you have headaches for a couple days, but you get up in a minute and are fine , and you fight on. its more a shock to the nervous system and a barrage that brings you down.

What pac did was attack, break, beat up, break, maul , break, not enough to ko him, but enough to keep hurting and keep pounding that dome. i honestly think tony may never be the same as a man, let alone as a fighter after last nite. that kind of beating to the head while already hurt- is how people get parkinsons. i wanted him to get burried by pac after the roach video, but even i was sympathetic and applauding mannys mercy in the 11th and 12th yesterday. it was brutal.

 

I think Mosley was worse. He knocked him out when Margarito was a sharper fighter. I love Manny, but most of his wins are against guys who were sort of diminished and had a loss their last few fights. And fact is he has not fought anyone with a good right hand. I saw during the fight last night that a guy with a right hand like Hearns would have easily beaten Manny. Hearns would have jabbed and jabbed, and when Manny jumped in landed the right. None of these guys are the caliber of a Hearns obviously. but Manny did well anyway, but I think a little reality has to be mentioned also.

Hard to say, Mosley beat him to the ground and Pac beat him around the ring.

I'm gonna say Pac gave him the bigger beating because Marg is still going to be feeling the effects from it next month.

I didn't see te fight yet but lets look at it this way. A knockout may look more brutal but a 12 rnd beating is worse imo. At least with a knockout the fight is over with but a one-sided beatdown is continued punishment over and over. What's even worse imo is taking a one-sided beatdown for almost all of the 12 rounds then getting ko'd cold before the end of the 12th.

 

Marg was in better shape in the Pac fight. Another thing the Mosely fight was a dirty fight. Lots of holding on Mosely's part. Last nights fight was a clean fight. Marg was unable to put pressure on Mosely because he was out of shape and excessive and unnecessary holding by Mosely. Most injuries in boxing occur not by knockouts but by extended beatings like what we witnessed last night. Take Z Gorres, he even won his fight. Mancini vs Kim. We we base KO's as more damaging than severe beatings, there's a lot of KO's in UFC. Lame 1 punch ko's that would not do damage to a boxer. Some boxers even walk out of the ring only to collapse later from what would be a decision loss.

 

Dude, gtfo. You guys are ****ing letting your Mayweather love blind you. Margo is in surgery to have his skull repaired while yall are straight up ignorant and won't give Pac his obvious respect.
