Interesting debating style: either you agree with me or you're a moron. Dialectics that would make the neocons proud.
11 to Cotto, very solid round. Round 12 was disapointing for both fighters. They just stayed away from each other, there was no sense of urgency from their fighter. Mosely could have taken the round pressing the action more in round 12 to convince the judges he really wanted to win the fight.
because Im so sure that any pure boxing fan objectively looking at that round cant possibly see it any other way! and its a very pivotal round in the scoring of the fight, and I got a little carried away...my apologies.
When neither fighter landed a meaningful punch you have to consider other aspects of the fight. You have to consider the fact that Shane pressed the action, Cotto was actually running (not fighting on backpedal) and Shane atleast landed some jabs. Primary schooll ya know :smoke
No.....They did "****"....Cotto was on his bike the entire round and Shane was the aggressor. Even if it wasn't a round with a lot of action you have to give the round to the guy who pressed the action and that was EASILY Shane Mosley. Either way it was a close fight, could have gone either way and I think everyone would like to see a rematch after such a close and exciting battle....IF....Shane decides to continue.
I'm pretty sure that a judge will never score the last round even...or maybe there has been one who did in the past year or 2 which caused some controversay....but I remember reading something where the 12th round should go to SOMEone - especially in a close fight.
Ledderman gave 12th to Cotto but the reason was that if he didn't the fight would be a draw on his card
I gave Cotto 11 and Mosely 12 for a 7-4-1 Cotto scorecard. Watched the fight since and Im happy with that score. Anyone who thinks Mosely won is a total ****ing idiot.
