They both stumbled him once, but Tucker actually fought him. Sucks to see Bonecrusher scared and unwilling to fight, I would've liked to see how Tyson would've handled his heavy punches.
Bonecrusher frustrated him more and actually hurt him more, yet ironically won fewer rounds. Still, in a fight to the finish, Bonecrusher actually would’ve had a chance to beat Tyson. On the other hand Tucker made the rounds much closer and more competitive and actually had a chance to outpoint Tyson if he had thrown a bit more often and held less. Closer fight.
Bonecrusher gets obliterated if he opens up. Smart move on his behalf because, if you're unaware, James Smith was the first heavyweight champion who graduated from college!! I think I gave him 1 round if that. Tucker followed the Emanuel Steward plan of tying Tyson up and using his height/weight to lay and pray. There was enough noise for a rematch but Tyson gets the job done within the distance this time. Tucker won the first 2 rounds but lost the rest. Tony TNT Tucker gave Tyson the rougher night.
Tucker and not even close. Tucker actually staggered Tyson pretty good with a right. Mr. Smith did nothing at all.
Smith also staggered Tyson right at the end if you've seen the fight - so he at least did that. And nothing at all else.
Yeah, late into the fight (And I mean late), Tyson feints an upwards jab into a body jab and Smith hit him with a hard right through his guard that backed Tyson up, and one of the announcers calls out, "Smith with a right... That actually backed Tyson up!", which must've seemed impossible at the time of the fight. Smith might've gotten blasted out by Tyson if he fought him on fair grounds, but Smith did have a pretty good chin, if he ACTUALLY played it smart, he could've won some rounds and made a valiant effort against Tyson in Iron Mike's march towards undisputed. He definitely would've hurt Tyson multiple times, too.
