I know his corner had the right idea when they told Tucker to not grab Tyson, but push him off.

To be fair that was far better than almost every other Tyson victim

And that's about where we arrive at dissecting this. One hard punch here, one hard punch there, and Tillis. Tyson was absolutely mopping the floor with them, and when he didn't they were in survival mode.

Tillis. I had Tyson winning 7-3. This was before they took a point away for a knockdown.

Tucker. I don't think this was as close as some say. 10-2 or 9-3.

    Ferguson. Hung tough before succumbing.

Green. Knew how to hold when in trouble.

    Sims. Despite no footage I've heard he was an irritable little b a s t a r d.

Jameson. Bug guy who lasted 5. Tyson had an ear infection in this one.

    Probably Tillis

Tucker was the better fighter but
Tyson had developed quite a bit from the Tillis to the Tucker fights.

Almost forgot about Pinklon Thomas!!! After that rocky first round he fought Tyson to a standstill until that brutal 20 punch combo put Pink on that canvas soft spot for the first time in his career!

The only thing that seems relevant in this Tyson ass licking thread is exactly how big his ass hole must have been to make room for the tongues of all his fanboys.

Even the title suggests that the humiliation by Douglas was a mere blip on an otherwise perfect career.

    Pathetic, even cringe worthy.

That seems rather harsh. At the time he fought up to the Douglas fight, he was exciting and certainly seemed almost invincible. I am not saying he was, but even after his loss to Douglas, I still thought he was the best in the division. Holyfield probably always had the goods to beat him, but I wasn't sold at the time.

We could blame his era, but he beat almost every one convincingly in a way nobody else was doing.

1 ) Bruno. He hurt Tyson, visibly rocked him.

2 ) Tucker gave Tyson a reasonably good fight, and claims to have hurt his hand early.

3 ) Tills went the distance, and likely won 3-4 of 10 rounds.

4 ) Robin Givens, in court.

Just watching the tillis fight the now. 3 rounds in tillis is giving tyson fits. But looks like hes put too much into it.

I ll tell yous one thing thats now thought of as common knowledge that i ll never agree with that the heavyweight division wasnt much good back then. That tillis would have beat anyone kicking about in the heavyweight division nowadays. And yet he d lost something like 8 times by the time tyson fought him.
