He gave up weight vs Fury 3 times, Ortiz twice, Zhang, Helenius, Stiverne twice and Dominic Breazeale

Wilder is around the same weight as Usyk but I have never once heard this argument used for Deontay Wilder

He also had some moments earlier too, but can't give timestamps at the time.

He hit him to the body and then held Usyks head down before unloading combinations which Usyk blocked and evaded. I don't think Usyk was hurt, it's a bit of an exaggeration.

He's also taller with a longer reach than most of the fighters he's fought which makes up for it.

AJ for sure. More size, just a better boxer.

Chisora had Usyk backpeddling a bit but really, Chisora isn't more than a musclebrain, something Usyk has seen plenty of times.

I said greats so we can cross one of those off right away

    Holyfield and Mike

But none of those were routinely fighting much or way bigger guys from 35-38.5 y/o and still winning all their fights, let alone whilst still being the HW champion or undisputed in their opponent's backyards or on the road whilst having never been knocked down

And I don't even know if we should count the likes of Mike because even though he was fighting bigger guys he's built like a tank and was incredibly powerful for his size. Kind of like say a Pitbull vs a Labrador

Holyfield for sure but he was a walking PED factory

And The Dosser whilst fighting heavier guys has a huge SHW frame and huge reach too and he forged a career facing binmen and losing and getting KTFO vs world level opponents at Usyk's age

And, as said, it's not many at all

I haven't watched Lewis vs Mercer in ages but I definitely felt Mercer deserved the decision when I did watch it

Maybe that's why I missed this post. I missed Joeywill's too though. Not sure why

I had Lewis/Mercer a draw when I last watched it but I felt Lewis was getting the better of the argument in the 2nd half of the fight and would've won more clearly had it been 12 rounds.

But we will never know though.

I don't think AJ hurt Uysk in round 9. The commentary made a bigger deal about AJ's success in that round than he actually had

He pushed down on the back of Usyk's neck and cracked him with two illegal hammerfists IIRC and then he pounced on Usyk as Usyk was trying to regroup and just kept punching whilst Usyk was still in the process of trying to regroup and whilst Usyk might have been hurt as in by being caught with a sequence of big shots by the much bigger man, he wasn't hurt as in discombobulatized, wobbly legged or in any danger of going down. He blocked or slipped a lot of those shots during that attack

I'll have to rewatch it sometime. One thing I have noticed even just during HL videos and shorter fights of Lewis' recently is, as said, how dirty he was. Unlike Golota, Bowe, Mike etc. manages to escape the dirty fighter label but he could be really dirty too and he did that signature move of his more than I remembered him doing

Holding and hitting with the uppercut was one of Lewis's worst tactics.

From memory I can remember him doing it vs Bruno and Grant.

    Peep this, guys

Usyk is now officially the oldest undisputed HW champion of all time

The 2nd oldest unified HW champion of all time

And the 5th oldest HW champion of all time

And of the 4 above him they were all natural HW 238-255lb giants and 2 of them were pretty much one-hit wonders or 1 was at that age and they lost every round prior to landing a come from behind KO bomb in their title winning effort and should've lost the title in their first defence because it was a terrible robbery

And the other defended their belt vs a D level in their 1st defence before losing it in their 2nd via TKO

Chisora slowed down a lot after the first two rounds (even after the first round) and didn't win another clear one after that. His success was overstated, largely because he was a wide underdog. And this was a rare fight at the time where Chisora had A-side advantage, Hearn and co. were desperate to rob Usyk.

Joshua was arguably less competitive in fight 1 but in fight 2 I recall thinking that given his A-side advantage, he was probably ahead after 9 rounds. Usyk swept 10, 11, 12 and got the decision.

Chisora never gassed out to the same degree or got battered in certain rounds as Joshua did in both fights. But he also did less damage and wasn't as close to getting a result going into the last quarter of the fight.
